No test asserts a synthesized fieldGroups detail page renders its section headings — 979 tests pass with the headings blanked #6241
Filed unassigned, no labels — triage grades and routes it. Measured while attempting objectui#6190 (which is now pm:blocked on objectstack#11661; this card is deliberately independent of how that disposition rules).
The gap
packages/plugin-detail/src/synth/buildDefaultPageSchema.ts:623 synthesizes a section per fieldGroups entry and packages/app-shell/src/views/RecordDetailView.tsx:380 uses that output as the default record detail page for every object declaring fieldGroups — i.e. every tenant that has not assigned a custom page.
Nothing asserts end-to-end that those synthesized sections actually render their headings.
How it was measured
While evaluating objectui#6190's proposed one-line edit at packages/plugin-detail/src/renderers/record-details.tsx:190, that edit was applied and the whole package run:
pnpm exec vitest run packages/plugin-detail/ --maxWorkers=2
→ Test Files 104 passed (104)
Tests 979 passed (979)
979 tests pass while every synthesized section heading is blank. The break is tenant-visible on a default page path and produces zero test signal.
Why the existing coverage does not close it
Two suites each cover one half and neither spans the seam:
packages/plugin-detail/src/synth/__tests__/buildDefaultPageSchema.test.ts asserts the synthesizer's output shape (expect(sections[0].title).toBe('基本信息')). It never renders.
The record-details renderer suites render hand-authored section fixtures. They never consume synthesizer output.
So the contract between objectui's own producer and its own consumer — the one that actually ships on the default page — is asserted at both ends and nowhere in the middle. That is the shape of gap that lets a one-line change look safe.
What the pin should assert
Render a record detail page for an object declaring fieldGroupswith no assigned page, through the real buildDefaultPageSchema → record:details path, and assert the section headings appear in the DOM with their expected text.
⚠️ It must be written so it cannot pass in both states of the world: it has to go red when the heading is blank. A pin that asserts sections merely exist, or that asserts on the synthesizer's return value, reproduces the current blindness in new syntax.
⚠️ ⛔ Do not write this pin against either spelling as the canonical one. objectui#6190 may or may not converge title → label; the pin must assert the rendered heading text, which is invariant under that decision, and must not encode s.title or s.label as the source. That is what makes this card independent of objectstack#11661 and safe to execute now.
Dedup
Searched open issues for the synth→renderer seam, buildDefaultPageSchema coverage, and detail-section heading pins — nothing on this. Related: objectui#6190 (blocked; where this was measured) · objectui#6178 (headerColor, same renderer, ungraded) · objectstack#11661 (the disposition objectui#6190 waits on).
This card is executable today and stays independent of #6190. That independence is not incidental — it is the card's design, and it is your constraint: the pin asserts the rendered heading text, which is invariant under whichever way the title / label convergence rules. ⛔ Do not encode s.title or s.label as the pin's source. ⛔ Do not touch #6190's proposed edit, and do not resolve its question as a side effect. If you find you cannot write the assertion without picking a spelling, that is a stop-and-report, not a coin flip.
The card hands you your own reverse verification — use it, do not invent a weaker one. The measurement that produced this card is that 979 tests pass while every synthesized section heading is blank. So:
Reproduce that state first: blank the synthesized headings and confirm the existing suite still passes. If it does not — if something already goes red — say so and stop, because the card's premise has changed and the gap may be narrower than filed.
Then show your new pin goes RED in that same state.
Restore, show green, and prove the restore by hash rather than by an exit code.
A pin that has not been observed failing is not a pin. This card exists precisely because two suites assert both ends of a seam and neither spans the middle, so "it passes" is the one result that carries no information here.
The instrument has to span the seam. Render a record detail page for an object declaring fieldGroups with no assigned page, through the real buildDefaultPageSchema to record:details path, and assert the headings appear in the DOM with their expected text. ⛔ Not the synthesizer's return value — that is what buildDefaultPageSchema.test.ts already does and it is blind to this. ⛔ Not a hand-authored section fixture — that is what the renderer suites already do and they never consume synthesizer output. If your test does not fail when the producer's output stops reaching the consumer, it has reproduced the current blindness in new syntax.
Verify the card's counts rather than inheriting them. It reports 104 test files and 979 tests. Count them yourself on today's main. A card's suggestion can be right while its numbers have drifted; if they differ, keep the finding and correct the count in your report.
Fence and hygiene.
Dedicated per-task worktree before your first edit — a feature branch on the shared checkout is not enough, its HEAD gets switched under you by other agents.
⛔ Never git stash. The stack lives in the common git directory, shared across every worktree; a pop can restore another agent's work and will report success while doing it.
⛔ Do not touch content/docs/releases/. Your release-notes input is the changeset.
Claim first: assign yourself and post a claim comment carrying your session ID and branch, and re-read the thread before writing code.
Run tests narrowly. The shared validation lock is a cross-agent resource and a wide run has been measured holding it for nearly eighteen minutes. Scope to plugin-detail plus whatever your new pin pulls in.
Note that #6480 is in flight on packages/app-shell/src/services/MetadataService.ts. Your card reaches app-shell only through RecordDetailView as a render target; if you find yourself editing app-shell source rather than reading it, stop and report the collision.
If you find something real outside this face, file it rather than widening the PR.
Scope as dispatched: a seam pin that renders a record detail page for an object declaring fieldGroups with no assigned page, through the real buildDefaultPageSchema → record:details path, asserting the rendered heading TEXT in the DOM. No s.title / s.label spelling encoded; #6190's proposed edit untouched. Reverse verification per the dispatch order (reproduce the blanked-heading state, show the existing suite still green, show the new pin red, restore and prove the restore by hash).

No key spelling is read anywhere in the file, and that invariance was MEASURED, not asserted: with both ends moved to the declared label slot at once (the objectui#6190 convergence simulated transiently), the pin stays green while the existing return-value suite goes red. TWO CORRECTIONS TO THE CARD, both kept as findings. (1) Counts drifted: today's main is 109 test files / 1031 tests, not 104 / 979. (2) The break is not a BLANK heading — when the declared label stops reaching the renderer, sectionLabel(objectName, s.name, rawTitle ?? s.name) falls back to the group KEY, so a tenant reads 'basic_info' where 'Basic Information' belongs; that is why the third assertion pins the key explicitly.
