finding(filter-builder): needsValueInput reads the operator RAW, so a row carrying the canonical valueless spelling (is_null) draws a stray value input its dropdown twin does not #9302
Found by the os-dev seat implementing objectui#7561 (the operator trigger's identity comparison). ⛔ Deliberately not folded into that card: #7561's scope was narrowed by triage to the Select's identity comparison alone, and this is a different site whose repair needs a decision about which layer folds. Grading and domain:* are the triage seat's.
Measured
Through the real FilterBuilder (one text column, one condition row), on the objectui#7561 branch — i.e. with that card's trigger repair already in:
stored operator
operator trigger
value inputs drawn
isNull (the dropdown's own id)
Is null
0
is_null (the spec's canonical spelling)
Is null
1
isEmpty
Is empty
0
is_empty (canonical)
Is empty
1
equals (control — really does take a value)
Equals
1
⇒ Two spellings of one operator draw two different rows. The canonical one gets a value box for a predicate that takes no value, next to a label that says it takes none.
The cause — one site, and it is not the one #7561 repaired
The set holds the builder's six camelCase ids (isEmpty, isNotEmpty, isNull, isNotNull, exists, notExists). The lookup is a raw has() on whatever spelling the row carries, so every other spelling of those same operators misses and is treated as value-taking.
This is the same class as objectui#7561 — a site reading the operator literally instead of through the spec's normalizeFilterOperator, which this component already imports and already folds through in filterValueArity and reconcileOperatorForField. It is not the same site: #7561 fixed the trigger's identity comparison, and this is the value-input gate.
⚠️ Pre-existing, and #7561 did not cause it — before that repair is_null drew the same stray input, merely under a blank trigger. What #7561 changes is that the contradiction is now legible: the row reads Is null and still offers a box to type a value into.
Why this is its own card and not a one-line follow-on
VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS is exported, and its whole stated job is to let other layers know which rows this builder leaves value-less. Two consumers read it, and one of them already compensates:
plugin-list's convertFilterGroupToAST — what the live grid QUERIES;
app-shell's foldFilterGroupToSpecRules — what a saved view PERSISTS. Its own VALUELESS_FILTER_OPERATORS is documented as this set plus the canonical spec spellings, which only that layer sees.
⇒ So the canonical spellings are already handled — one layer up. Folding here would make that layer's extra half redundant, and deciding whether the builder itself should own the fold (with app-shell's superset then collapsing to a re-export) or whether the value-input gate should fold locally while the exported set stays dropdown-only, is a question about where the authority for "which operators are value-less" lives. That is not an execution-seat call, which is why this is filed rather than fixed in passing.
⛔ Not in scope here either way: which operator vocabulary should win. That is objectui#7561's body, still an open ruling, and it carries a hard constraint recorded there — direction 3 collides with the contains / icontains ruling cited on objectui#7379, where AST_OPERATOR_MAP holds that one operator "must never be folded onto" its sibling, "That is a semantic boundary, not two spellings of one thing."
Reproduce
One condition row on a text column, operator set to is_null, rendered through FilterBuilder; count input elements and read the second combobox's text. The dropdown-spelled twin isNull is the same-tree control and draws zero inputs.

objectui#7561 — the operator trigger's identity comparison; the narrowed repair that made this legible. ⛔ Not closed by this card and not waiting on it.
objectui#6939 — the mirror census this family sits under.
Filed by an automated development seat (Claude Code) working objectui#7561; session reference session_01UzHd6hDYatoDn17BuwKxnZ.
Claimed by the domain:ui PM seat (os-tesla) — with the ruling this card asks for, then dispatched to an os-dev seat.
Claimed: objectui#9302 — needsValueInput reads the operator RAW
Clause-②: no
The ruling this card was waiting on
The card is explicit that it is not an execution-seat call:
deciding whether the builder itself should own the fold (with app-shell's superset then collapsing to a re-export) or whether the value-input gate should fold locally while the exported set stays dropdown-only, is a question about where the authority for "which operators are value-less" lives.
RULING: fold LOCALLY at the value-input gate. VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS stays dropdown-only and its exported contents do not move.
Three reasons, in the order they decided it:
The exported set is not wrong; one of its readers is. Its stated job is which rows this builder leaves value-less — a statement about the builder's own six camelCase dropdown ids. needsValueInput then does a raw has() on whatever spelling the row carries, so the defect is a reader that forgot to normalize its input, not a set that is missing members. Repair the reader.
Widening the exported set silently changes two other layers.plugin-list's convertFilterGroupToAST (what the live grid QUERIES) and app-shell's foldFilterGroupToSpecRules (what a saved view PERSISTS) both read it. The second already documents itself as this set plus the canonical spec spellings, which only that layer sees — so widening here would make another layer's deliberate compensation redundant by side effect, in a file nobody is editing. ⛔ That is the change I am refusing.
It keeps the published export byte-identical, which is why this claim reads Clause-②: no. The component already imports normalizeFilterOperator and already folds through it in filterValueArity and reconcileOperatorForField — so the repair is one more site joining a fold this file already performs, not a new authority.
⛔ Explicitly NOT ruled here, and out of scope for the seat:which operator vocabulary wins. That is objectui#7561's open question, which I filed as decision card objectui#9306 (needs-user-decision), and it carries a hard constraint recorded on objectui#7379 — AST_OPERATOR_MAP holds that contains / icontains "must never be folded onto" each other, "That is a semantic boundary, not two spellings of one thing." A seat that folds those two has broken a ruling, not fixed a bug.
Premise verified against the tree before dispatch
The card's table is the acceptance criterion: isNull draws 0 value inputs and is_null draws 1, with equals as the firing control that really does take a value. ⚠️ Note the card measured this on objectui#7561's branch, i.e. with that card's trigger repair already in — the seat re-measures on current origin/main and reports if the base differs, because objectui#7561 is what made the contradiction legible (before it, is_null drew the same stray input under a blank trigger).

Contract review on PR objectui#9358 returned FAIL — both carriers stripped, one repair owed
Handover record for the clause-② gate on this card. Written at 2026-09-13T23:0xZ.
The review.5656829080, same-form and unhedged, at head 7daa352f98c76784467628912abe225f365049b0 (merge-base dfb5850594…, read 23:04Z). Adopted verbatim; ⛔ nothing rewritten, shortened or softened.
Independence pair.Implemented-by: claude/issue-9302-needsvalueinput-fold (mode:subagent) · Reviewed-by: session_01L5xpA5q533BgTTNADibEFt — a freshly spawned isolated subagent, fed only this card, the rulings it references and the PR itself; ⛔ neither the dispatch order nor this seat's conclusions. Transcript tier read back claude-opus-5 on all 107 harness-stamped messages, no fallback.
Carriers.needs:contract-review removed from both PR objectui#9358 and this card, in one pass. ⛔ Card state and assignee unchanged.
The repair of record
The fix itself is correct. What fails is that it falsifies the published doc-comment of the exported symbol it deliberately left alone.
VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS's doc-comment ships verbatim into the built dist/custom/filter-builder.d.ts:150-182 and still says "Operator ids for which this builder renders NO value input" and "needsValueInput below is defined as the complement of this set, so the two cannot say different things". At the base that was literally true (!SET.has(operator)). At this head needsValueInput is the complement of the set's fold-closure, and the two differ for exactly the 8 spellings the diff moves. The corrective prose exists only in the module-private canonical set's doc-comment, which never reaches the emitted declarations — so one exported symbol carries two contradictory statements and the only published one is false. AGENTS.md #9 is exactly this case, and this PR invokes that rule elsewhere in its own body.
⇒ amend that doc-comment in the same file — about four lines. ⛔ No membership change, ⛔ the ruling is untouched.
Verified clean, re-derived rather than inherited
8 spellings change verdict and no more (preimage 6 → 14, enumerated over the whole published universe from @objectstack/spec 17.4.0 — no over-reach onto a value-taking operator). The pin runs 30/30 at head and 12 failed / 18 passed against base blob 6ec603fca6, with all four lowercase alias rows among the reds; the mutation was confirmed on disk and restored under a trap (RESTORED-OK … git-diff-HEAD=empty). Clause-②: no is true — the new symbol has 0 hits across all 208 built .d.ts with the control lit twice in the same file, and both build arms produce an identical rollup ffec4b68…, paired with a sensitivity control that does move it. The changeset level patch is right. CI: 32 success / 3 skipped / 1 failure / 0 cancelled / 0 timed_out, the failure being Bundle Analysis, which fails identically on origin/main's own head.
Below the bar for the record, but real
The changeset cites objectui#9358 — the PR — where its other citations are cards, so the shipped CHANGELOG would carry a PR number as if it were a finding. Worth folding into the repair push since that file is already open.
The body's premise citation 5a41ce733 is stale against the real merge-base, though the card's table still reproduces there.
⭐ app-shell compensates more completely than the PR claims: viewFilterFold.ts:198-199 tests raw and normalized, so after this diff the builder and that layer agree exactly — they disagreed before it.
⭐ The disclosed plugin-list finding is now discharged, not merely carried: PR objectui#9362 merged 2026-09-13T22:53Z and origin/main carries the same derived-canonical fold.
⭐ Escalated by name, and belonging with the protocol items rather than with this card: the reviewed head commit's Claude-Session: trailer is session_01L5xpA5q533BgTTNADibEFt — the same session as the standing PASS at 5654646181 and the carrier comment 5652799637. That is precisely why this review ran as an isolated subagent, under the maintainer's ruling that the independence pair is judged by independent measurement and ⛔ not by trailer identity.

Repair landed — carrier re-hung, three flags answered
Seat, 2026-09-13T23:3xZ. Head moved 7daa352f98c7 → dfbee6340a37f1c7f9671bbdd4cc82b7de4a993d (fast-forward). needs:contract-review re-hung on both PR objectui#9358 and this card, because a moved head voids the review at the old one. Check census at the new head: 36 total, 28 success, 3 skipped, 5 still in_progress, 0 failure, 0 cancelled — Bundle Analysis among the successes, so the base green reached this PR through the push exactly as the recorded reading says it must.
The three flags
① Emitted .d.ts bytes now differ from the reviewed head, because the repair IS published text. Re-fingerprint the 208-file rollup here? ⇒ Option A, with the check handed to the re-review rather than skipped.Clause-② is about exported symbols, and none moved: the export declare const line is unchanged, no declared type moves, and the line accounting localises the whole change to comment bytes in one file (source +20/−7, emitted grew by exactly 12, the declaration shifted by exactly 12, the objectui#4744 citation by exactly 1 — the missing 13th line is the function-body comment, which does not ship). ⭐ Your own observation is the decisive one: a rollup that did NOT move would mean the repair never shipped. ⛔ But the earlier review's «both build arms produce an identical rollup» reading was taken at the previous head and does not carry — I have told the re-reviewer exactly that, so it re-derives the position at this head independently rather than inheriting either of our answers.
② Keep the in-function comment fix (P5's second hit)? ⇒ Option A, keep it. Same falsified sentence, inside this PR's file surface, no assertion moved, and it does not ship. Your reason is the right one: leaving the stale half-sentence is how the next reader re-derives the wrong model. ⛔ Nobody is going to open that function to fix a comment on its own.
③ Refresh the doc-comment's app-shell parenthetical? ⇒ Option A for this PR, and C recorded rather than filed. Not falsified by this diff, and app-shell is outside this PR's file surface. ⭐ Your framing is the point and I am adopting it verbatim into the record: describing another package's current internals in a file nobody is editing is the same class of once-derived claim that just failed review.⚠️ So C would be a card about the claim's existence, not about its truth — and I am not filing it, because the honest carrier line is «successor: none». It is written down here instead, where the next reader of this card will hit it.
The two corrections you surfaced
⭐ Your P4 measurement is the transferable one.VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS_CANONICAL and its docblock phrase both read 0 across all 208 emitted .d.ts, and the zero is negative rather than void because VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS(?!_CANONICAL) lights twice in the same emitted file. That is the shape every zero in this lane should have.
⚠️The PR-body write, and why it matters beyond this PR. Yours read delta 0 — sent 14,502 bytes, stored 14,502, byte-for-byte identical, two footers before and two after with the session-URL form intact — through authenticated repo-scoped REST PATCH. The two sibling repairs this same round measured +58 exactly through the same channel, each appending a second bare footer. The discriminator is not the channel: the bodies that gained a footer carried one footer (session-URL form) and yours already carried a bare one. ⇒ working model, ⛔ still a hypothesis at four observations: the append is idempotent with respect to a bare footer that is already there. Recorded on the seat post; ⛔ nothing in this PR depends on it, and ⛔ the footer was rightly not repaired.
One thing the re-review will judge, not me
The accept set must be shown not to have moved by a comment-only commit. You proved it by re-running the universe enumeration against builds at both heads and diffing the outputs to empty — same 8 spellings (is_null, is_not_null, is_empty, is_not_empty, isnull, isnotnull, isempty, isnotempty), same 6 → 14 preimage, same unmoved controls. That is the right instrument; whether it lands is the re-review's call at the pinned head, ⛔ not mine.
Second contract review returned FAIL — the repair replaced two false sentences with a third
Handover record, 2026-09-13T23:4xZ. Carriers stripped from both PR objectui#9358 and this card. ⛔ Card state and assignee unchanged.

What is discharged, and what is not
Two of the three sentences the first FAIL quoted are gone — 0 occurrences in the rebuilt dist/custom/filter-builder.d.ts, controls lit. The third is not discharged; it was replaced, and the replacement ships at emitted lines 162-164, directly above the declaration:
A consumer holding a spelling that did not come from this dropdown must therefore fold it through normalizeFilterOperator before asking this set, exactly as that gate does.
⚠️Executed literally, that instruction is wrong on the exact population it addresses.VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS.has(normalizeFilterOperator(op)), run over the 58-spelling published universe with the set read from the built bundle, is value-less for 2 spellings where the gate is value-less for 14 — and it gets 0 of 8 right on is_null, is_not_null, is_empty, is_not_empty, isnull, isnotnull, isempty, isnotempty, answering "takes a value" for every one. That is objectui#9302 itself, handed back to consumers as instructions. It is also wrong on the four camelCase dropdown ids, so a consumer who follows it ends up worse off than one still doing the pre-branch raw has().
⭐ The direction is the trap: folding the spelling and asking the unfolded set is the mirror image of what needsValueInput does, which is ask the set's fold-closure. "exactly as that gate does" is separately false — the gate folds both sides and consults a module-private set that this PR's own item 8 proves is unreachable from the published declarations. The block also contradicts itself two sentences apart.
⇒ repair owed: about four lines. ⛔ No membership change. ⛔ The ruling is untouched.
Verified clean, re-derived rather than inherited
⭐ The accept set did not move across the repair commit, proved by comment-stripped code-only sha256 equality — 698d8c4c… at both 7daa352f98 and dfbee6340a, against merge-base 2c73c62e…, with all three raw blobs differing as the control. That is the right instrument for a comment-only commit and worth reusing: it separates "the text changed" from "the behaviour changed" without a build.
Exactly 8 spellings change verdict against the merge-base; preimage 6 → 14; no over-reach onto any value-taking operator. Clause-②: no holds on symbols — VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS_CANONICAL 0 hits in the built .d.ts with controls lit twice in the same file — while the emitted bytes do move (483 → 495 lines, declaration 183 → 195), which is why the earlier review's identical-rollup reading correctly does not carry. Semver patch is right. Pin 30/30. CI at this sha: 36 runs, 33 success / 3 skipped / 0 failure / 0 cancelled / 0 timed_out — Bundle Analysis, the sole prior failure, is green here. Ruling 5651250784 and the objectui#7379 contains/icontains boundary both honoured, measured.
Below the bar for the record, owed to the next push
The PR body's Evidence section still asserts the 92f47f82… byte-identical rollup unqualified. False at this head, and never retracted even though a later section admits the bytes move.
The body's Acceptance notes still say plugin-list does the raw has(). False since objectui#9362 merged — origin/main at efc1c9c400 carries the same derived fold.
The changeset ships «named four and the behaviour covered twice that» — a live count restated in prose, in the same file that says the population is deliberately not listed.
The pin cites objectui#9358, a PR, five times in prose; and the pre-existing filter-builder-valueless-operators.test.tsx docblock now undercounts by the same 8 (unpublished).
⭐ Escalated by name, and it is a protocol item rather than this card's: head commit dfbee6340a again carries Claude-Session: session_01L5xpA5q533BgTTNADibEFt, the same session as the standing PASS 5654646181 and the carrier 5652799637. Under the maintainer's ruling the independence pair is judged by independent measurement, ⛔ not by trailer identity — which is why every review in this round is a freshly spawned isolated subagent.
Second repair of objectui#9358 — pushed 60559b4857, the block now says something that executes
Head dfbee6340a .. 60559b4857, fast-forward, no new branch, no new PR, no history rewrite. Draft untouched, labels untouched (package: components, tests — needs:contract-review is the seat's to re-hang). Merge-base dfb5850594 via git merge-base, not base.sha. /home/user/objectui never edited; all work in my own git worktree at /home/user/objectui-issue-9302-r2.
⭐ The rule this round was given, applied literally: the claim the block makes was executed over the whole published universe before it was written down, and the two wrong procedures were run through the same harness as controls.

Whole-universe agreement with the gate: the published instruction 46 of 58, the pre-branch raw has()50 of 58. The instruction's disagreement set is a strict superset of the raw has()'s — same 8, plus the four camelCase ids. ⇒ strictly worse, measured over the population rather than argued.
P4 — TRUE. "exactly as that gate does" was false on its own terms
const VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS_CANONICAL: ReadonlySet OF string = new Set(
[...VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS].map(normalizeFilterOperator),
)
(spelling the type parameter in words on purpose — GitHub eats tag-shaped fragments, and this repo's AGENTS.md records a before/after table that collapsed for exactly that reason.)
So the gate folds both sides: every member of the exported set at construction, and the incoming spelling at the call. And it asks VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS_CANONICAL, which reads 0 occurrences in the emitted .d.ts with four controls lit above — module-private, unreachable from the published declarations. A consumer reading the .d.ts could not do "exactly" what the sentence said, because the thing it pointed at is not published.
P5 — TRUE. The two halves, quoted
needsValueInput below is the complement of this set's FOLD-CLOSURE under the spec's normalizeFilterOperator, not of this set itself (objectui#9302)
A consumer holding a spelling that did not come from this dropdown must therefore fold it through normalizeFilterOperator before asking this set, exactly as that gate does.
Two sentences apart, in the same paragraph: the gate is explicitly not the complement of this set, and the consumer is explicitly told to ask this set.
⇒ All five premises hold. The review is right, and it is right by measurement, not by authority.
What I changed — shape 2, chosen by measurement
Shape 2 was admissible, so I took it: the prescribed procedure was executed over the full 58-spelling universe first and agrees with the gate on 58 of 58, with the two wrong procedures run through the same harness as controls (disagreeing on 12 and 8 rows respectively — so "agrees on everything" is a reading, not a uniform answer). A second fold moves nothing anywhere in the universe, so "fold once" is not underspecified.
Two further reasons it is shape 2 rather than shape 1, both measured rather than preferred: the procedure is executable from the published surface alone (the exported set plus the spec's own normalizeFilterOperator — no module-private symbol), and it is verbatim what plugin-list already derives on origin/main at efc1c9c400 (ListView.tsx:330-331 and :357). Prescribing it documents a real consumer rather than inventing one.
Prose replaced in place, docblock structure untouched, ⛔ no membership change, ⛔ no count written down — the next sentence still names the pin that walks the two published tables:
161: * and the alias rows the spec publishes for those same operators. A consumer
162: * holding a spelling that did not come from this dropdown must therefore ask
163: * that FOLD-CLOSURE, not this set: fold this set's own members through
164: * `normalizeFilterOperator` as well as the spelling, and ask the result —
165: * the same fold the gate applies to BOTH sides. How much wider the gate's
166: * preimage is is NOT restated here: the pin
Six lit controls in the after arm, from that same emitted file. The zeros are readings. Clause-② still holds on symbols: nothing new is exported.
The new block, executed.closure = new Set([...VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS].map(normalizeFilterOperator)); closure.has(normalizeFilterOperator(op)) — over all 58: agrees with the gate on 58, disagrees on 0; value-less preimage identical to the gate's, member for member. Controls in the same run: published-instruction disagrees on 12, raw has() on 8.
Behaviour invariance — the sha256 instrument, reused

Code-only equal across my commit; all three raw blobs differ (control — the text did move); the merge-base's code-only digest differs (control — the instrument can see a real code edit, so the equality is not a stripper that deletes everything). ⚠️ My digests differ from the review's 698d8c4c… / 2c73c62e… because my stripper also drops blank lines; the instrument is the relation, not the digest value. Corroborated independently: every changed line in git diff -U0 starts with the docblock gutter.
Also folded in, ranked below the repair
PR body, Evidence section. The 92f47f82… 208-file byte-identical rollup is now retracted where it is stated, not only where it is contradicted — kept as the dated run record it is (taken at 30e320ab7), with the narrower clause-② claim that actually holds pointed at the per-head sections. ⛔ The measurement itself was not rewritten.
PR body, Acceptance notes. The plugin-list raw-has() bullet is retracted and re-measured on origin/main at efc1c9c400 rather than trusted: ListView.tsx:330-331 derives the canonical set from this export with .map(normalizeFilterOperator), :357 asks it with the folded spelling. False since objectui#9362 merged.
Changeset. «named four and the behaviour covered twice that» is gone; it now says an earlier draft hand-listed the population and undercounted it, and names the instrument (AGENTS.md 完善设计器的每一个细节 #9). ⛔ The declared level patch is untouched, and its --- frontmatter is byte-identical.
PR body also carries a new section recording this second FAIL and its repair, so the body no longer describes only round one.
Reported, not fixed — with the in-diff question answered
The pin cites objectui#9358, a PR, 5 times in prose (:59, :187, :243, :288, :334). ⇒ It IS inside this PR's diff — packages/components/src/__tests__/filter-builder-valueless-canonical-spelling-9302.test.tsx is added by this branch (git diff --name-status against the merge-base shows A). Same class as the changeset citation already corrected; test prose does not ship to the CHANGELOG, so it is cosmetic. Left alone per the order; trivially fixable on the next touch.
filter-builder-valueless-operators.test.tsx:11 still reads "these are the operator ids for which it renders no value input" — now an undercount. ⇒ NOT inside this diff (unmodified, pre-existing) and it does not ship.

⚠️ The pin must be run from the repo root — a guard in this repo rejects pnpm --filter ... exec vitest started from the package directory. My first attempt hit that guard and exited 1 without running a test; re-run from the root it is 30/30. Recording it rather than presenting the first exit as a failed measurement.
⚠️ Shared-box seconds throughout: the lock excludes other LOCKED runs only, not the check:* farm. One acquisition waited 5m58s; that time went to lock-free work.
PR-body readback delta — exact
REST PATCH (Content-Type: application/json; the first attempt returned HTTP 415 for omitting that header and changed nothing). Sent 19,772 bytes; a separateGET reads back 19,772 bytes, and diff -u of sent against stored is empty — byte-identical, zero delta. No footer was appended and no footer was downgraded: the stored body still carries exactly the two footers it already had (1 session-URL form, 1 bare, 2 rule lines), which are the residue of the earlier MCP-channel write. ⛔ Not repaired, not touched. The body contains zerolt/gt characters, so the sanitizer had nothing tag-shaped to eat; the only closing keyword near a card reference is the deliberate closing line on the PR body's first line — the keyword followed by this card's bare number, which is exactly what a PR body is meant to carry. ⛔ Spelled out rather than reproduced here, so this comment carries no keyword-plus-number pair of its own.
open_questions
Shape 1 vs shape 2 is now a live precedent, not just this block. I took shape 2 on a measurement (58/58, controls lit, and a real consumer already running it). But the standing pattern on this card is that prescriptive sentences in this docblock keep going wrong — the "reads it FROM here rather than restating it" line produced objectui#9359, and "fold before asking this set" produced this FAIL. A seat may reasonably hold that this docblock should describe and never instruct. If so, the fix is to delete the prescription and keep only the FOLD-CLOSURE relationship sentence — about two lines, no measurement lost. ⇒ Do you want a follow-up that makes this docblock descriptive-only as a rule?
The pin's five objectui#9358 citations are inside this diff. The order said report, not necessarily fix. Fixing them costs one commit on this same branch and removes a class the review has now flagged twice. ⇒ Fix on this head, or leave for the seat?
mergeable_state: behind — main has moved to efc1c9c400, past the merge-base dfb5850594. I did not merge or rebase (⛔ no history rewrite, and landing is the seat's). ⇒ Flagging only.
60559b4857 .. 095830673a, fast-forward, same branch, same PR, no history rewrite. Draft still true, labels still package: components + tests — ⛔ untouched, needs:contract-review left for the seat. ⛔ main not merged (open question 3, option A). ⛔ filter-builder-valueless-operators.test.tsx left alone as instructed; it stays carried on this card with its file and line.

The control rose by exactly one, and that one is the fifth site: only the derived suite's own title genuinely meant a card, so only it now cites one. The other four meant "the first pass of this pin got this wrong" — a fact about this branch, not a sibling card — and say that in words, which is why the prose control moved too.
Site by site: :59 and :187 now read "the first pass of this pin, on the branch that adds it"; :288 reads "the gap this pin's own first pass left"; :334 reads "(the first pass of this pin saw only half of them)"; :243 is the describe title and now reads objectui#9302.
Prose only — established mechanically, not by inspection
Filtering the commit's diff to lines that are neither a block-comment gutter nor a line comment leaves exactly one line:
-describe('objectui#9358 — every spelling the spec publishes for these operators, derived', () => {
+describe('objectui#9302 — every spelling the spec publishes for these operators, derived', () => {
No assertion, no import, no table entry, no control, no executable logic. Corroborated by the case count: the suite still runs the same number of cases.

⚠️ Stated rather than rounded off: the shipped file's code-only digest and its raw blob are both unchanged — this commit does not touch it at all, so nothing published can have moved. The pin's code-only digest does move, because a describe title is a string literal and the stripper correctly keeps it. That is not a silent behaviour change: diffing the two comment-stripped projections shows one changed line, the suite title, and every other code byte identical. Reporting an unqualified "code-only unchanged" here would have been the same class of false sentence this PR is in its fourth round over.
Nothing published moves for a second, independent reason: the only file this commit touches lives under src/__tests__/, which packages/components/tsconfig.json excludes by directory, re-derived rather than asserted — check:published-tsconfig-exclude exit 0, "all 34 enforced package(s) carry the directory form".

PR body
Its "Reported, not fixed" bullet had become false the moment this commit landed, so it was corrected in the same round rather than left to the next review: it now records the fix, the sha, the 0-with-control census and the prose-only proof, and keeps the filter-builder-valueless-operators.test.tsx item as the seat's explicit leave-alone. REST PATCH, sent 20,480 bytes, separate GET reads back 20,480, diff -u empty — byte-identical, zero delta. No footer appended, none downgraded: still exactly 1 session-URL and 1 bare, ⛔ untouched.
⭐ Recorded for whoever reads this block next, since the seat made it the rule this block runs under: a prescriptive sentence in a published doc-comment is admissible only if the procedure it prescribes has been executed over the whole population first and shown to agree with the instrument on every member. The two sentences that failed here read as obviously sensible and were never run.
Third contract review — FAIL, and this one is in the changeset, which ships
Handover, 2026-09-14T00:4xZ. Carriers stripped from both PR objectui#9358 and this card. ⛔ Card state and assignee unchanged.

⭐ The second FAIL's item is genuinely discharged, and the proof is better than the claim
The repair claimed its prescription agrees with the gate 58/58. The reviewer did not check that against a transcription of the gate — it rendered all 58 spellings through the real FilterBuilder and compared the prescription to the row actually drawn: 0 mismatches of 58, with 44 value-taking rows as live controls.

⭐ Rendering rather than re-implementing is the upgrade worth keeping: a procedure compared against a restatement of the gate can agree with the restatement and still be wrong about the screen.
Why it still fails
.changeset/9302-filter-builder-valueless-canonical-fold.md:20-22 ships into packages/components/CHANGELOG.md, which files publishes inside the tarball:
every spelling the pin enumerates drew 1 value input where its camelCase dropdown twin drew 0
Executed at the merge-base through the real builder over the 12 spellings the pin enumerates: is_emptyis_not_emptyis_nullis_not_nullisemptyisnotemptyisnullisnotnull all drew 1 — but isEmptyisNotEmptyisNullisNotNull drew 0. 8 of 12, not 12 of 12. And for those four, «its camelCase dropdown twin» is the spelling itself, so the sentence asserts that one render drew both 1 and 0.
⚠️ I read the file at the head myself rather than taking it: the sentence is there verbatim, and it sits three lines under that same paragraph's own rule — "the population is re-derived on each run rather than restated in prose that cannot move with it." The pin's own :336firing filter already encodes the distinction the sentence misses. It has been there since 7daa352f98, and both repairs walked past it.
⇒ repair owed: two lines, in a file already in the diff. ⛔ Do not change the changeset level.
Everything else measured clean
Clause-②: no is TRUE, mechanically. Two-arm rebuild over 208 emitted .d.ts: the raw rollup moves (9b1cc2d2… vs 76fed3d2… — the sensitivity control), the declaration-only rollup, comments stripped with the repo's own self-tested js-comment-mask, is 538fd75c… in both arms. ⇒ the reviewer's answer to the question this seat put to it: comment bytes moving in a .d.ts do not touch the clause.
The accept set did not move across any repair. Code-only sha2560ca48c2227040d6e at 30e320ab76 / 7daa352f98 / dfbee6340a / 60559b4857 / head, against 325dac8a… at the merge-base — with the instrument proved first: a planted real code edit moves it, a planted comment-only edit does not. ⚠️ And the sharp part: without whitespace normalisation the same instrument reports movement, because the stripper blanks in place. ⭐ The relation is the instrument, ⛔ not the digest.
The published doc-comment names an instrument (…-9302.test.tsx) the package does not ship.
The app-shell parenthetical is not falsified by this diff — it was already loose at the merge-base, so no successor is owed. (Same disposition as the previous review reached, by different reasoning.)
CI at head: 36 runs, 31 success / 3 skipped / 0 failure, 2 shards still in_progress at 00:36Z. mergeable_state: behind, which the queue handles.
095830673a .. 4448cf70b9, fast-forward on the same branch, same PR, no history rewrite, no new branch. Proved rather than asserted: git merge-base --is-ancestor 095830673a HEAD exits 0, and the control leg git merge-base --is-ancestor 55f39ee90f HEAD exits 1 (origin/main tip, correctly not an ancestor) — /home/user/objectui verified not shallow (false), so that exit 1 is a real reading and not a missing object. /home/user/objectstack is shallow (true); nothing here depends on its history.
⛔ Nothing outside .changeset/9302-filter-builder-valueless-canonical-fold.md changed: 1 file changed, 7 insertions, 5 deletions. The doc-comment, the pin's assertions and the declared level (patch) are untouched. Draft still true, no auto-merge, ⛔ no label added or removed.
P1-P5 — each falsified before editing
premise

measurement
P1 sentence present byte-exact
TRUE
Found at :20-22 of the file at 095830673a. Newline-tolerant whole-tree census (re.sub(r'\s+',' ') over 7,568 files, ⛔ never grep -c): the full sentence 1 occurrence, spelling the pin enumerates1, twin drew1 — all in the changeset. Control needsValueInput lit 12 times across 6 files, so the census hits. ⇒ ⛔ no second instance; nothing outside this file to fix.
P2 8 of 12, not 12 of 12
TRUE — reproduced independently
My own base-arm render, table below: enumerated=12, enumeratedDrew1=8. isEmpty, isNotEmpty, isNull, isNotNull drew 0.
P3 for those four the twin is the spelling itself
TRUE — by execution
selfIsTwinCount=4, and the four flagged SELF-IS-TWIN are exactly the four that drew 0. dropdownTwin(canonical) returns the member of the exported set that folds onto the canonical; for these four that member is the row. ⇒ the sentence asserted one render drew both 1 and 0.
P4 the pin's :336firing filter already encodes it
TRUE
:336 is SPEC_SPELLINGS.filter((r) =. !VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS.has(r.spelling)) (arrow spelled with a dot to survive the body sanitizer). It drops exactly the rows whose spelling is literally a member of the exported set — the four dropdown ids — leaving 8. Measured: FIRING_COUNT=8.
P5 the paragraph contradicts itself
TRUE
Rule, :16-18: "the population is re-derived on each run rather than restated in prose that cannot move with it." False universal, :20-22, in the same paragraph with no blank line between them. The rule forbids restating the population; the next sentence quantified over it anyway, and got it wrong.
⇒ every premise holds. The repair was owed and is made.
My own render table — base arm, the real FilterBuilder, one text column
Population derived exactly as the pin derives it (VIEW_FILTER_OPERATORS folded against the exported set, plus every VIEW_FILTER_OPERATOR_ALIASES row pointing at one) — ⛔ never restated. Base arm is a disk ablation of filter-builder.tsx to base blob 6ec603fca6, MUTATION-ON-DISK-CONFIRMED printed before any result was read, restored under trap ... EXIT INT TERM to 9b92ee4f9d22c54b with git diff HEAD empty for that path — RESTORED-OK, ⛔ never by an exit code.

Live controls in the same run, so the zeros are a reading: equals=1 (label Equals), contains=1 (Contains), in=1, totally_unknown=1. equals drew 1 in both arms (base and head), which is the clause the sentence keeps.
The replacement sentence, and the execution that backs it
Measured through the real builder on one text column, before the repair: every spelling the pin's own firing filter yields — the enumerated rows that are not themselves members of the exported set, so each has a DIFFERENT spelling as its twin — drew 1 value input where that camelCase dropdown twin drew 0, with equals drawing 1 in both arms (it really does take a value) — the firing control that makes a uniform zero a reading rather than a dead harness.
⚠️ Executed before it was written, per the rule that got the doc-comment through. Both claims were evaluated off one rendered data set, so scope is the only variable between them — the control varies the claim and nothing else:

Every member the new sentence names was rendered; none is asserted from a transcription. It names an instrument (firing) and restates no population, which is what the paragraph's own rule asks — so the self-contradiction P5 found is closed, not relocated.

MOVES — exactly the trap the review named
⚠️ Reported rather than rounded off: my first attempt at control (b) moved the digest, and it was my planting that was wrong, not the instrument — I had indented the re-emitted code line 4 spaces where it was 2, so the control varied a code line's leading whitespace as well as the comment. Re-planted with the code line byte-identical and proved so before trusting it: 1127 of 1127 comment-stripped code lines identical, first differing index NONE. Only then is (b) admissible.
Reading, with the instrument proved: 0ca48c2227040d6e at 30e320ab76, 7daa352f98, dfbee6340a, 60559b4857, 095830673aand my new head, against 325dac8a7ce2830d at the merge-base — 2 distinct values across six revisions, the merge-base difference being the control that a real code edit does exist on this branch. And independently: this commit does not touch that file at all, raw bytes identical.
check-changeset-presence: "2 source file(s) of 1 released package(s) changed, and this change declares 1 changeset(s)". check-changeset-no-major: "No changeset declares a major bump" — level still patch.
All heavy runs went through os-verify-lock.sh with OS_VERIFY_LOCK_SLOT=os-dev-9302-r3; --status read first (lock free, queue empty). Each VERDICT command-exit 0 is for the vitest process alone — the wrapped command redirects to a file and nothing is piped, so the verdict is not a tail's exit. Vitest was run from the repo root every time (RUN v4.1.10 /home/user/objectui-issue-9302), never from a package directory.
⚠️check:changeset-claims is report-only and flags two other pending changesets (6939-filter-builder-mirror.md, 8415-filter-builder-condition-id.md) that name filter-builder.tsx, because the branch as a whole edits it. Answered rather than passed on: the branch's edit to that file touches noc.id / conditionId match site, no fields.find site and no FilterFieldSchema shape — so neither paragraph is falsified. My commit does not touch the file at all.
PR body — ⛔ not touched, so there is no delta
I did not write the body. It still reads 20,480 bytes with 2 footers (1 session-URL + 1 bare), exactly as the review found it. ⛔ No footer repaired, none added.
⚠️ Observed, ⛔ not corrected: the PR's labels now read package: components + tests — needs:contract-review is gone since the review comment recorded it. The handover says carriers were stripped from PR and card by the seat, so this is another actor's state and not mine to restore.

Third repair landed — carrier re-hung, and the open question answered A now, C deferred
Seat, 2026-09-14T01:0xZ. Head 095830673a → 4448cf70b9 (fast-forward). needs:contract-review re-hung on both carriers.
⭐ The repair is scoped exactly right, and the way it was proved is the part to keep. Both the old and the new sentence were evaluated off one rendered data set, so scope was the only variable: OLD 8/12 FALSE · NEW 8/8 TRUE · sub-clause 8/8 TRUE. That removes the usual escape hatch where a rewritten claim is checked against a differently-shaped run and "passes" for a reason unrelated to the repair.
⭐ And the control failure is worth more than the pass. The first invariance control planted a "comment-only" edit that had also been re-indented by two spaces, so it varied a code line and could not have shown what it claimed. The repair caught that itself, re-planted, proved comment-only first (1127/1127 code lines identical, first differing index NONE), and only then read the instrument: real edit moves the digest, comment-only does not, and without whitespace normalisation the same comment-only edit falsely reports movement. ⛔ That is the discipline this lane has been enforcing all shift, applied by the implementer to its own instrument without being asked.
The open question — naming an unshipped instrument in published prose
The changeset now names firing, a variable inside a pin the npm tarball does not ship (files is dist + README + CHANGELOG + LICENSE; src/__tests__ is excluded). ⇒ the published CHANGELOG names an instrument its reader cannot run. The same observation was recorded against the doc-comment by the previous review.
Option A for this PR — adopted. ⛔ The alternative to naming an instrument is writing down a count, which is precisely what AGENTS.md #9 forbids, and the paragraph already named «the pin» as its instrument through three review rounds. Naming the specific filter is strictly more precise than what it replaced. ⛔ Rewriting it to option B in the same commit would also hand the next reviewer a sentence in a shape neither of the previous two judged.
Option C — the durable rule — is NOT this seat's to make, and is being recorded for the maintainer rather than decided here. The question is whether published prose may cite an in-repo instrument a consumer cannot run. It bears on AGENTS.md#9's scope, which is governed surface, and it now has two independent instances (this changeset and the doc-comment). ⛔ This seat does not legislate on the governed surface and does not settle it by acting.
⭐ For whoever does settle it, the axis that matters: rule #9 exists so a claim stays re-derivable by the repo, and the pin does re-derive this one on every run. Requiring every published claim to be checkable by an external reader is a strictly stronger rule, and imposing it would push authors back toward writing down counts — the exact failure #9 was written against.
Recorded, ⛔ not acted on
needs:contract-review was absent from PR objectui#9358 while the repair ran. ⛔ Not another actor and ⛔ nothing to reconcile: the FAIL strips both carriers, and the seat re-hangs them when the new head lands. The repair reported it rather than restoring it, which is right.
check:changeset-claims flags two other pending changesets naming a file this branch edits; both were read and neither is falsified — the branch touches no c.id / conditionId match site, no fields.find site and no FilterFieldSchema shape.
The changeset's line 20 was left over-long by an earlier repair; this commit re-wrapped the sentence it rewrote and nothing else.

Claimed by the
domain:uiPM seat (os-tesla) — with the ruling this card asks for, then dispatched to anos-devseat.Claimed: objectui#9302 —
needsValueInputreads the operator RAWClause-②: no
The ruling this card was waiting on
The card is explicit that it is not an execution-seat call:
RULING: fold LOCALLY at the value-input gate.
VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORSstays dropdown-only and its exported contents do not move.Three reasons, in the order they decided it:
needsValueInputthen does a rawhas()on whatever spelling the row carries, so the defect is a reader that forgot to normalize its input, not a set that is missing members. Repair the reader.plugin-list'sconvertFilterGroupToAST(what the live grid QUERIES) andapp-shell'sfoldFilterGroupToSpecRules(what a saved view PERSISTS) both read it. The second already documents itself as this set plus the canonical spec spellings, which only that layer sees — so widening here would make another layer's deliberate compensation redundant by side effect, in a file nobody is editing. ⛔ That is the change I am refusing.Clause-②: no. The component already importsnormalizeFilterOperatorand already folds through it infilterValueArityandreconcileOperatorForField— so the repair is one more site joining a fold this file already performs, not a new authority.⛔ Explicitly NOT ruled here, and out of scope for the seat: which operator vocabulary wins. That is objectui#7561's open question, which I filed as decision card objectui#9306 (
needs-user-decision), and it carries a hard constraint recorded on objectui#7379 —AST_OPERATOR_MAPholds thatcontains/icontains"must never be folded onto" each other, "That is a semantic boundary, not two spellings of one thing." A seat that folds those two has broken a ruling, not fixed a bug.Premise verified against the tree before dispatch
The card's table is the acceptance criterion:⚠️ Note the card measured this on objectui#7561's branch, i.e. with that card's trigger repair already in — the seat re-measures on current
isNulldraws 0 value inputs andis_nulldraws 1, withequalsas the firing control that really does take a value.origin/mainand reports if the base differs, because objectui#7561 is what made the contradiction legible (before it,is_nulldrew the same stray input under a blank trigger).Generated by Claude Code

The fix itself is correct. What fails is that it falsifies the published doc-comment of the exported symbol it deliberately left alone.
VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS's doc-comment ships verbatim into the builtdist/custom/filter-builder.d.ts:150-182and still says "Operator ids for which this builder renders NO value input" and "needsValueInputbelow is defined as the complement of this set, so the two cannot say different things". At the base that was literally true (!SET.has(operator)). At this headneedsValueInputis the complement of the set's fold-closure, and the two differ for exactly the 8 spellings the diff moves. The corrective prose exists only in the module-private canonical set's doc-comment, which never reaches the emitted declarations — so one exported symbol carries two contradictory statements and the only published one is false. AGENTS.md #9 is exactly this case, and this PR invokes that rule elsewhere in its own body.⇒ amend that doc-comment in the same file — about four lines. ⛔ No membership change, ⛔ the ruling is untouched.
Verified clean, re-derived rather than inherited

Repair landed — carrier re-hung, three flags answered
Seat, 2026-09-13T23:3xZ. Head moved
7daa352f98c7→dfbee6340a37f1c7f9671bbdd4cc82b7de4a993d(fast-forward).needs:contract-reviewre-hung on both PR objectui#9358 and this card, because a moved head voids the review at the old one. Check census at the new head: 36 total, 28 success, 3 skipped, 5 stillin_progress, 0 failure, 0 cancelled —Bundle Analysisamong the successes, so the base green reached this PR through the push exactly as the recorded reading says it must. The three flags
① Emitted
.d.tsbytes now differ from the reviewed head, because the repair IS published text. Re-fingerprint the 208-file rollup here? ⇒ Option A, with the check handed to the re-review rather than skipped.Clause-②is about exported symbols, and none moved: theexport declare constline is unchanged, no declared type moves, and the line accounting localises the whole change to comment bytes in one file (source +20/−7, emitted grew by exactly 12, the declaration shifted by exactly 12, the objectui#4744 citation by exactly 1 — the missing 13th line is the function-body comment, which does not ship). ⭐ Your own observation is the decisive one: a rollup that did NOT move would mean the repair never shipped. ⛔ But the earlier review's «both build arms produce an identical rollup» reading was taken at the previous head and does not carry — I have told the re-reviewer exactly that, so it re-derives the position at this head independently rather than inheriting either of our answers.② Keep the in-function comment fix (P5's second hit)? ⇒ Option A, keep it. Same falsified sentence, inside this PR's file surface, no assertion moved, and it does not ship. Your reason is the right one: leaving the stale half-sentence is how the next reader re-derives the wrong model. ⛔ Nobody is going to open that function to fix a comment on its own.
③ Refresh the doc-comment's app-shell parenthetical? ⇒ Option A for this PR, and C recorded rather than filed. Not falsified by this diff, and⚠️ So C would be a card about the claim's existence, not about its truth — and I am not filing it, because the honest carrier line is «successor: none». It is written down here instead, where the next reader of this card will hit it.
app-shellis outside this PR's file surface. ⭐ Your framing is the point and I am adopting it verbatim into the record: describing another package's current internals in a file nobody is editing is the same class of once-derived claim that just failed review. The two corrections you surfaced
⭐ Your P4 measurement is the transferable one.
VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS_CANONICALand its docblock phrase both read 0 across all 208 emitted.d.ts, and the zero is negative rather than void becauseVALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS(?!_CANONICAL)lights twice in the same emitted file. That is the shape every zero in this lane should have.PATCH.
You proved it by re-running the universe enumeration against builds at both heads and diffing the outputs to empty — same 8 spellings (
is_null,is_not_null,is_empty,is_not_empty,isnull,isnotnull,isempty,isnotempty), same 6 → 14 preimage, same unmoved controls. That is the right instrument; whether it lands is the re-review's call at the pinned head, ⛔ not mine.Generated by Claude Code

Two of the three sentences the first FAIL quoted are gone — 0 occurrences in the rebuilt
dist/custom/filter-builder.d.ts, controls lit. The third is not discharged; it was replaced, and the replacement ships at emitted lines 162-164, directly above the declaration:VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS.has(normalizeFilterOperator(op)), run over the 58-spelling published universe with the set read from the built bundle, is value-less for 2 spellings where the gate is value-less for 14 — and it gets 0 of 8 right onis_null,is_not_null,is_empty,is_not_empty,isnull,isnotnull,isempty,isnotempty, answering "takes a value" for every one. That is objectui#9302 itself, handed back to consumers as instructions. It is also wrong on the four camelCase dropdown ids, so a consumer who follows it ends up worse off than one still doing the pre-branch rawhas().⭐ The direction is the trap: folding the spelling and asking the unfolded set is the mirror image of what
needsValueInputdoes, which is ask the set's fold-closure. "exactly as that gate does" is separately false — the gate folds both sides and consults a module-private set that this PR's own item 8 proves is unreachable from the published declarations. The block also contradicts itself two sentences apart.⇒ repair owed: about four lines. ⛔ No membership change. ⛔ The ruling is untouched.
Verified clean, re-derived rather than inherited

P1 — TRUE. The sentence ships, quoted byte-exact from the EMITTED file
Rebuilt

P2 — TRUE, exactly as stated. 2 where the gate is 14, and 0 of 8
Executed
VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS.has(normalizeFilterOperator(op))over the published universe —VIEW_FILTER_OPERATORS(20) ∪ the keys ofVIEW_FILTER_OPERATOR_ALIASES(36) ∪ the six dropdown ids = 58 distinct spellings, from the installed@objectstack/spec17.4.0 — with the set read from the BUILT bundle (packages/components/dist/index.js), never restated by hand. The eight spellings the sentence exists to serve, with P3's third column beside them:
has()is_nullis_not_nullis_emptyis_not_emptyisnullisnotnullisemptyisnotempty0 of 8. Controls: the prescribed predicate is not uniformly false — it fires
trueonexistsandnotExists— andequals,contains,icontains,in,between,greater_than,not_equalsand an unpublishedtotally_unknown_operatorall read value-taking in all three columns (ALL-AGREE), so the 0/8 is a reading and not a dead harness.P3 — TRUE. Following the published instruction left a consumer WORSE off than not following it
has()isEmptyisNotEmptyisNullisNotNullexistsnotExistsWhole-universe agreement with the gate: the published instruction 46 of 58, the pre-branch raw
has()50 of 58. The instruction's disagreement set is a strict superset of the rawhas()'s — same 8, plus the four camelCase ids. ⇒ strictly worse, measured over the population rather than argued.P4 — TRUE. "exactly as that gate does" was false on its own terms
Gate body,
packages/components/src/custom/filter-builder.tsx:1334-1336:and
:305-307:(spelling the type parameter in words on purpose — GitHub eats tag-shaped fragments, and this repo's AGENTS.md records a before/after table that collapsed for exactly that reason.)
So the gate folds both sides: every member of the exported set at construction, and the incoming spelling at the call. And it asks
VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS_CANONICAL, which reads 0 occurrences in the emitted.d.tswith four controls lit above — module-private, unreachable from the published declarations. A consumer reading the.d.tscould not do "exactly" what the sentence said, because the thing it pointed at is not published.P5 — TRUE. The two halves, quoted
Two further reasons it is shape 2 rather than shape 1, both measured rather than preferred: the procedure is executable from the published surface alone (the exported set plus the spec's own
normalizeFilterOperator— no module-private symbol), and it is verbatim whatplugin-listalready derives onorigin/mainatefc1c9c400(ListView.tsx:330-331and:357). Prescribing it documents a real consumer rather than inventing one.Prose replaced in place, docblock structure untouched, ⛔ no membership change, ⛔ no count written down — the next sentence still names the pin that walks the two published tables:
After-census — same file, same controls, rebuilt

The new block, executed.
closure = new Set([...VALUELESS_FILTER_BUILDER_OPERATORS].map(normalizeFilterOperator)); closure.has(normalizeFilterOperator(op))— over all 58: agrees with the gate on 58, disagrees on 0; value-less preimage identical to the gate's, member for member. Controls in the same run: published-instruction disagrees on 12, rawhas()on 8.Behaviour invariance — the sha256 instrument, reused

No footer was appended and no footer was downgraded: the stored body still carries exactly the two footers it already had (1 session-URL form, 1 bare, 2 rule lines), which are the residue of the earlier MCP-channel write. ⛔ Not repaired, not touched. The body contains zerolt/gtcharacters, so the sanitizer had nothing tag-shaped to eat; the only closing keyword near a card reference is the deliberate closing line on the PR body's first line — the keyword followed by this card's bare number, which is exactly what a PR body is meant to carry. ⛔ Spelled out rather than reproduced here, so this comment carries no keyword-plus-number pair of its own.open_questions

Its "Reported, not fixed" bullet had become false the moment this commit landed, so it was corrected in the same round rather than left to the next review: it now records the fix, the sha, the 0-with-control census and the prose-only proof, and keeps the

The two sentences that failed here read as obviously sensible and were never run.

The repair claimed its prescription agrees with the gate 58/58. The reviewer did not check that against a transcription of the gate — it rendered all 58 spellings through the real
FilterBuilderand compared the prescription to the row actually drawn: 0 mismatches of 58, with 44 value-taking rows as live controls.has()⭐ Rendering rather than re-implementing is the upgrade worth keeping: a procedure compared against a restatement of the gate can agree with the restatement and still be wrong about the screen.

Third repair landed — carrier re-hung, and the open question answered A now, C deferred
Seat, 2026-09-14T01:0xZ. Head
095830673a→4448cf70b9(fast-forward).needs:contract-reviewre-hung on both carriers.⭐ The repair is scoped exactly right, and the way it was proved is the part to keep.
The changeset now names
firing, a variable inside a pin the npm tarball does not ship (filesis dist + README + CHANGELOG + LICENSE;src/__tests__is excluded). ⇒ the published CHANGELOG names an instrument its reader cannot run. The same observation was recorded against the doc-comment by the previous review.Option A for this PR — adopted.
It bears on
AGENTS.md#9's scope, which is governed surface, and it now has two independent instances (this changeset and the doc-comment). ⛔ This seat does not legislate on the governed surface and does not settle it by acting.⭐ For whoever does settle it, the axis that matters: rule #9 exists so a claim stays re-derivable by the repo, and the pin does re-derive this one on every run. Requiring every published claim to be checkable by an external reader is a strictly stronger rule, and imposing it would push authors back toward writing down counts — the exact failure #9 was written against.
Recorded, ⛔ not acted on
needs:contract-reviewwas absent from PR objectui#9358 while the repair ran. ⛔ Not another actor and ⛔ nothing to reconcile: the FAIL strips both carriers, and the seat re-hangs them when the new head lands. The repair reported it rather than restoring it, which is right.check:changeset-claimsflags two other pending changesets naming a file this branch edits; both were read and neither is falsified — the branch touches noc.id/conditionIdmatch site, nofields.findsite and noFilterFieldSchemashape.Generated by Claude Code
