    @sajeshsj

    I’m seeing the same issue on Windows with Codex 26.325.31654.

    On startup, I briefly see the new Plugins / New Plugin experience, but after the app settles it falls back to Skills and the stable Plugins UI disappears. I was trying to connect Figma MCP, and even after adding the server, setting FIGMA_OAUTH_TOKEN, and confirming the env var is present, the MCP handshake still returns Auth required.

    My setup is:

    • Personal ChatGPT account
    • Windows Codex desktop app
    • Company-managed laptop with ESET Endpoint Security installed

    This seems very similar to the behavior described here, so adding another repro in case it helps narrow down whether this is a Windows app/plugin-surface bug or a startup gating issue.

    I was able to temporarily fix it by setting "plugins = true" in the [features] in custom configuration, but it is weird it is not enabled by default.

    Apps do not work with that unfortunately.
