UI frozen after update #18378

What subscription do you have?
Pro
What platform is your computer?
macOS 26.4.1 build 25E253
What issue are you seeing?
After upgrading to 26.415.30602, clicking Send causes several seconds of UI stutter/freezing. This happens even in a brand-new thread by the second short message.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Install Codex Desktop 26.415.30602.
- Start a new thread.
- Send "hello".
- Send another short message.
- Observe UI stutter/freezing for several seconds after clicking Send.
What is the expected behavior?
Short messages in a new thread should send without multi-second UI stalls.
Downgrading to 26.415.20818 fixes the problem immediately on the same machine. This also reproduced on another computer, so it does not appear to be machine-specific.

I'm encountered with the same problem. I thought it's the connections feature causing this problem. Because in local workspace the UI doesn't freeze. But when I send messages to a remote workspace it always get frozen.
Any progress on this?
