Pro 5x

What issue are you seeing?
Timeline
Ran a task today (20260604), which was the first task of the day using the same workflow without unusual quota consumption.
Mac rebooted overnight due to a macOS update.
No Codex jobs were running overnight.
Started work the next morning.
Opened Codex and ran a single ( multi repo) task to update graphs - which I also ran the last two days with no issues
Observed that the 5-hour quota had fallen to approximately 10% remaining during the the task.
Weekly quota still showed approximately 85% remaining.
The observed quota consumption appears significantly larger than expected relative to the workload performed and relative to the remaining weekly quota.
are you using a large javascript project? maybe its running into a node_modules/, dist/,
something that kills the conext window? are you doing it inside a large chat with the llm (past chat)
if you think the depletion is extremely abnormal from what you expect (e g, DId you want toolusage , e g did you want it to write a small python script / e g did you wanted it to write a small python script inside a large nodejs framework )
