fix weekly limits on $100 plan #29895

What issue are you seeing?
i literally had 4% weekly limit and i sent 4 msg in codex app, and it made my weekly limit, i used 1 reset, and sent 6 msg, my 7% weekly limit gone, literally man, what the hell is going on?

I'm experiencing the same issue on the Pro plan (100 EUR/mo). My hourly/5h usage meter drops suddenly from 80%+ to 0% mid-session, with no warning, after only 6-7 messages using GPT-5.5 xhigh. There's no visible way to track this limit or predict when it will happen. This has happened multiple times. Version 26.623.101652 (released Jul 3, 2026).

Follow-up on my earlier comment: I contacted OpenAI support (case #10958570) about the sudden 80%->0% usage drop and referenced the previously acknowledged status.openai.com incident "Codex Usage Limits Depleting Faster Than Expected" (June 29, 2026, marked resolved). Over three separate replies, support sent generic/templated responses that didn't engage with the specifics (one even claimed the June 29 incident was unrelated without explanation, another referenced "account cancellation" which I never mentioned). It doesn't seem like anyone actually reviewed the account/session logs. Flagging this here since it looks like the support channel isn't equipped to properly investigate/confirm these metering issues - engineering visibility into this thread is probably the more reliable path to a fix.
