    @pigeonshome

I can reproduce a closely related, account-specific version of this issue.

    Environment

    • Ubuntu 20.04 x64
    • Codex CLI 0.159.0 (also reproduced on 0.158.0)
    • Authentication: ChatGPT sign-in
    • ChatGPT Plus account

    Observed behavior

    • /status shows: Limits: data not available yet
    • /usage works and displays the account's analytics/history.
    • https://chatgpt.com/codex/settings/usage redirects to the ChatGPT home page for the affected account.
    • https://chatgpt.com/codex redirects to the public localized Codex landing page instead of an authenticated Codex workspace.
    • The Windows Codex desktop app displays the remaining allowance correctly for the same ChatGPT account.
    • Another ChatGPT account on the same Ubuntu machine and installation displays its limits correctly.

    Troubleshooting completed

    • Updated Codex CLI from 0.158.0 to 0.159.0.
    • Confirmed codex login status reports Logged in using ChatGPT.
    • Logged out, removed the local ~/.codex/auth.json authentication cache, logged in again, and retested.
    • The issue remained unchanged.
    • codex doctor reports that authentication, state databases, WebSocket connectivity, and provider endpoint reachability are working.
    • /feedback could not be submitted and returned: Failed to upload feedback: feedback/upload failed in TUI.

codex doctor also reports only 238.7 MiB of available disk space. This may explain the failed feedback upload, but it does not appear to explain the account-specific /status problem because another account works on the same machine and filesystem.

This appears to be an account-side entitlement, usage-dashboard availability, or routing issue rather than a general CLI installation problem.
