Usage limits halved #4199

Which model were you using?

What steps can reproduce the bug?
Since yesterday you have halved the weekly usage limits.
What used to be ~20 hours for Plus and Teams are now ~10h.
The 5h limit is currently around 1.6M tokens, used to be ~2.5M.
This is unacceptable and greatly de-values the expensive subscriptions.
Codex web in contrast is stupid and only good for long-winded bugfixing iterations.
What is the expected behavior?
Not being limited to 10h/week

Hey @dlukt, thanks for the report. We didn't do anything to change limits. That said, if you're actually seeing 0.5x usage, that sounds very suspicious. Can you resume some recent sessions, run /status, and send us the sessionIDs from those please, so we can look into it?

Sorry if I sounded a little pissed off, but yeah, 10h isn't much.
I'm rotating 3 accounts, 1 is that of my friend who doesn't use codex and he let me use it.
Since that's against the TOS. I'll only post the recent session, to not compromise his account.
before that session I was using his account.
The above is after the 5h limit was hit and then some.
It used to be around 2.5M.
The limit was hit around 1.67M.
What I did was implement full-text search for a Go backend with ent and gqlgen and postgres (tsvector).
There it hit a bug in ent, which took about 1h to debug (at least it felt like it).

I don't have any collected metrics ( I don't know if I can extract them from my codex history ), but I do feel like the usage limits have been changed as well. It used to last easily atleast 4-5 days into a week before I would hit a usage limit... But this week. my weekly usage ran out in just 1 day of the week.
But since you say you haven't changed the limits, Is there a way for me to check my all-time usage so I can compare between the usage of my previous weeks and this week? maybe I just used it a lot in 1 day compared to my previous usages.

seems to be better now. When I was close to the 5h limit the weekly was at ~25%, where when I created this issue it was at 50%

No changes were made to the usage limits, but we did just ship a new usage dashboard to provide more information on usage: https://chatgpt.com/codex/settings/usage
