    Additional evidence, 12 September 2026:

On my Windows desktop (“Eddie”), ALL Codex projects are missing,
including local projects and SSH-hosted projects. The previously
configured SSH connection is also absent from the desktop app.

SSH itself is working: the existing alias authenticates successfully
to the original remote codex-dev account. No replacement connection,
    account or key is needed.

On my laptop, I can now see the pre-existing SSH chats previously
used through Eddie. Those chats display their associated project
names. However, the project containers/list are missing on the
    laptop too.

This is therefore inconsistent visibility between desktop clients:
the laptop can display remote chats and project labels that Eddie
does not display. It is not evidence that all associations or
    conversation records have been deleted.

    Eddie’s observed Windows package version:
    OpenAI.Codex_26.908.4834.0_x64

Please investigate project enumeration, host/project association
loading, and migration state across clients. Related report #44269
appears relevant, although its other client is mobile rather than
    a second desktop installation.
