[macOS][26.924.20706] Local projects are discovered but not rendered in Codex sidebar #48384

What issue are you seeing?

None of the local projects are visible in the sidebar, so I cannot use the Remove/re-add recovery procedure.

Bundled Codex version: codex-cli 0.158.0-alpha.2

I am using the new unified ChatGPT desktop app, so the bundled Codex executable is located at:

/Applications/ChatGPT.app/Contents/Resources/codex-cli/CodexCLI.app/Contents/MacOS/codex

rather than /Applications/Codex.app/....

So the desktop app appears to be discovering and processing the local projects for sidebar_workspace_groups, but the Projects/Local Projects section is not rendered in the sidebar.

I have also verified that ~/.codex/state_5.sqlite still contains the projects in the projects table and their correct filesystem paths in project_roots. The underlying project data therefore appears intact.

I have not removed or recreated any projects.

UI bug.

What is the expected behavior?

The projects should be listed in the sidebar.
