What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.930.21537

What subscription do you have?

Pro

What platform is your computer?

Version 10.0.26300 Build 26300 / System Type x64-based PC

What issue are you seeing?

Browser control fails before connecting to either the Codex in-app browser or Microsoft Edge.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a website in the Codex in-app browser.
  2. Ask Codex to access the open tab.
  3. The browser-control tool crashes before connecting.
  4. Retrying after resetting the tool produces the same failure.
  5. Opening the website in Edge and asking Codex to connect also fails.

Expected behavior:
Codex should connect to the browser and read or interact with the open page.

Actual behavior:
The tool exits before accessing the page. Errors include:

trusted Node process exited unexpectedly; kernel reset, rerun your request

node_repl kernel exited unexpectedly

windows sandbox failed: helper_unknown_error: setup refresh had errors

The issue persists across repeated attempts and tool resets. Local file operations worked when run with elevated approval, but browser control remained unavailable.
