Feedback ID: 01a11bdb-d9f3-7702-a3e0-96619372fd5d
What happened?
I set localeOverride = "zh-CN" in config.toml under [desktop] section.
After saving the config file, I fully quit Codex from tray menu and restart it.
But the UI is still English, cannot switch to Simplified Chinese.
Steps to reproduce:
Edit config.toml, add localeOverride = "zh-CN" under [desktop]
Save file
Quit Codex completely
Reopen Codex
Check UI language
Expected: UI becomes Simplified Chinese
Actual: UI remains English
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Open config.toml in folder C:\Users\Lenovo.codex\
Add localeOverride = "zh-CN" under [desktop] section
Save the file
Right-click Codex icon in system tray and choose Quit to fully exit
Launch Codex desktop app again
Check the UI language
What is the expected behavior?
After setting localeOverride = "zh-CN", the Codex desktop UI should show Simplified Chinese.
