Codex doctor report

What issue are you seeing?

After image generation (imagegen), the conversation keeps failing with
"stream disconnected before completion: websocket closed by server before
response.completed" and "idle timeout sending websocket request".
Codex retries (up to 5/5) and the turn fails.

  • Each generated image adds ~3 MB base64 to the thread (rollout files are 20–63 MB).
  • Upload bandwidth is ~2.5 Mbit/s; it looks like after a reconnect the history
including images is re-sent, which times out.
  • Network otherwise stable (0% packet loss).
  • This did not happen before; started around Oct 8–9, 2026.

Expected: the conversation continues normally after image generation
without having to start a new chat.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Uploaded thread: 01a11fc4-24fe-7ed1-a90c-c548506f48b9

What is the expected behavior?
