Switch Micrometer compatibility workflow to upstream once typed-descriptor path becomes default #2182
The temporary typed-descriptor leg in .github/workflows/micrometer-compatibility.yml should be removed once Micrometer switches its Prometheus client integration to the typed-descriptor path by default.
I checked the released code, not just the merge status of Micrometer #7487. The latest stable release, v1.17.2, still lacks the typed-descriptor path now present on Micrometer main. The workflow still tests both v1.17.2 and a pinned upstream-main commit, so both legs remain useful. I’d keep this open until a release includes the typed-descriptor path by default; then we can remove the temporary main leg and validate only the default upstream path.
