demo log4rs config file:

refresh_rate: 30 seconds

appenders:
  syslog:
    kind: syslog
    facility: local0
    path: /dev/log
    hostname: localhost
    process_name: sslocal
    severity: debug

root:
  level: debug
  appenders:
    - syslog

sslocal --log-config log4rs.yaml

    log4rs is now unmaintained, which is planned to be removed from this project.

    log4rs is now unmaintained, which is planned to be removed from this project.

    This request still remains: give the ability to log directly into /dev/log device.

    Try to set syslog key in the configuration file.
