Description

Describe the bug

I have a problem with HMR with the latest version 2.0.0-rc7, after I modify the code, when I navigate between pages I have an error "Server function call failed with status 405"

I don't know if it related to #3150 and its fix.

Your Example Website or App

https://github.com/scesbron/solid-devtools-get-405

Steps to Reproduce the Bug or Issue

  1. start the project with bun run dev
  2. you can go to page A and page B without any problem
  3. change something in the code (for example Title of page A)
  4. now if you navigate between pages you have an error "Server function call failed with status 405"

Expected behavior

As a user I expect that my app keeps working correctly after code modification and HMR

Fixed on next in 839c05e (#3353, thanks @brenelz) — ships in the next rc.

Root cause: the server-function dispatch registry was per-module-instance state, but the RPC seam the router's query() grants through is a first-write-wins globalThis slot. In vite dev an edit to any module without a hot boundary makes the SSR module runner re-evaluate the runtime into a fresh instance with empty maps; query() recorded its GET grant in the old instance, /_server dispatch consulted the new one, and every declared read answered 405. The registry now lives on globalThis like the seam, so one process has one registry across reloads. Not related to #3150.
