SC.connect is opening Android native app, and make the authentication impossible on Android #64

Open

Description

@ludovicthomas

On Android, the native app is registered to https://soundcloud.com and https://m.soundcloud.com.
When the SC.connect call try to open the https://soundcloud.com/connect?... page, it's automatically redirected to the native SC app, that failed with a message indicating : "A problem occurs with this URL".

If you try the sample flow from "Try out the Client-side auth flow" button of the API doc https://developers.soundcloud.com/docs/api/guide#authentication, you will see the behavior.
You need an Android phone with Android version 6, with SoundCloud app installed (logged in or not).

Would it be possible to either add path to the Android intent to avoid capturing the /connect? path, or to give use a new URL like connect.soundcloud.com that will not be managed by the mobile app?

Thanks

    Having the same problem with my web app (Soundcloud Unfollow). There is a post on StackOverflow that seems to address a similar problem on iOS. It suggest a solution to prevent the SC app from launching through the use of an iframe in a modal window. I would rather see this problem getting solved in the SDK, though.
