Another industry group that would be helpful for review: the NAI

Founded in 2000, the NAI is a non–profit organization that is the leading self–regulatory association dedicated to responsible data collection and its use for digital advertising. The Media Rating Council (MRC) is a not-for-profit industry self regulatory body, established in 1963 at the request of US Congress, that audits and accredits media measurement products and data sources across Digital, Out-of-Home, Print, Radio, Television, and cross-media products.

And maybe also the Digital Advertising Alliance

The Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) establishes and enforces responsible privacy practices across industry for relevant digital advertising, providing consumers with enhanced transparency and control through multifaceted Principles that apply to Multi-Site Data and Cross-App Data gathered in either desktop or mobile environments.

A W3C group that would be helpful to include: WebExtensions Community Group

We will specify a model, permissions, and a common core of APIs for web browser extensions. By specifying the APIs, functionality, and permissions of WebExtensions, we can make it even easier for extension developers to enhance end user experience, while moving them towards APIs that improve performance and prevent abuse.

(Many or most web users expect to be able to manage advertising-related functionality in the browser using an extension.)
