No suggestions after updating to the latest version

As the title says, I’m using copilot.lua with nvim-cmp.

After updating copilot.lua to the latest version, copilot stopped providing suggestions.

I’ve temporarily downgraded to the previous commit (f0c0d98), and it’s working again.

I'm using copilot.lua together with blink-copilot

After opening a buffer, :Copilot status returns

Buffer status: Attach not yet requested

Manually calling :Copilot attach it changes to

Buffer status: force attached

and proceeds to work, at least for me.

I have just pushed a commit ensuring the buffer is automatically attached, the issue was that the attachment process was tied to flows when using copilot.lua directly without blink, I will make this optional in a future update so as to not break external tooling.

Lazy just pulled in an update for copilot.lua, but still seeing the same behavior (Attach not yet requested).

Are you saying that the fix is yet unreleased and will be part of a future update?

You will still need to trigger it by going into insert mode, does it work if you do?

Unfortunately not, only with manually calling Copilot attach.

Ah, might you happen to have suggestion = { enabled = false} in your configuration?

Correct, that is how copilot-blink suggests setting it up in their copilot.lua recipy
