+ menu and sharing: duplicate Bot entries, per-Bot invite buried and clipped, own handle not shown (regression of #136) #181
ThinkFlowLab/FlyBot main c3bb44f (after #176, #177; core, plugins/social, plugins/tree) on @deepseek-ai/dsh@0.2.0-rc.2, Node 24. Two fresh installs on one Linux box: A :3080 (owner SelfA1933, @selfa1933.home, Bots Chief + Helper), B :3081 (SelfB1933, @selfb1933.home, Chief). Bot Social https://47-80-69-220.sslip.io. Scheduled product self-test, 2026-10-17 19:38–19:44 Asia/Shanghai. No model key on the box (model errors are not the bug).
The New… full-pane panel (should be a popover) is already tracked in #173 and is not repeated here.
+ menu (New…)
Items on c3bb44f: New chat, Create new Bot, Create group chat, Face-to-face group, Add friend, Copy invite link, Copy my handle, Add Bot.
Create new Bot and Add Bot read as the same action. Keep one, or rename the second to say what it really does.
Copy actions sit among the creation actions. Grouping them, or moving them into Add friend, would make the menu shorter.
The icons do not match: three different people icons, and a whale for Add Bot.
Add friend panel
The header is all caps (ADD FRIEND); other headers are sentence case.
The panel shows Done, Copy invite link, "Or paste a friend's invite below.", "Got a link from a friend?", a paste field with Join, and "Talk through [Chief]". That is two hints for one paste field.
You cannot pick which Bot to share from here. A per-Bot invite is only at Bot details → Edit Bot (icon-only button) → Sharing.
Copy invite link appears in three places (+ menu, Add friend, Bot Sharing).
Bot → Sharing
The invite link field is squashed to almost zero width.
Copy invite with instructions is clipped off the panel edge.
The Open Harness settings button wraps to three lines.
Creating Bot Helper starts a turn on its own right away. With no key here it failed with MISSING_CREDENTIAL; the missing key is not the bug. This is the creation kickoff in core/src/host/roster.js. Decide whether a new Bot should speak before the owner says anything, and if it does, a failed kickoff should not show a model error.
Expected (owner design)
One short + with creation actions and no duplicates, matching icons, sentence-case headers, and less copy.
Choosing which Bot to share happens in the invite flow, in one or two clicks.
