Opencode getting stuck in Thinking with GitHub Copilot models #16704

The AI is often getting stuck inside long thinking loops with GitHub Copilot models with Thinking selected.

Steps to reproduce

1. (Enable “show summarized thinking“ to see the model‘s thoughts.)
2. Select a model, e.g. Claude Opus 4.6, via GitHub Copilot and choose the “thinking“ option instead of the non-thinking “standard“ one and use plan or edit mode (issue is present in both).
3. Watch the thinking output of the model. It seems to loop.
