opencode is executed in a devcontainer, and it works for the project where it was started. But I can not change it.
When the user clicks on the Open project button, there is no way to enter a custom path.
The only folder that is respected is ~/Library, and its subfolders, but the symlinks are not. meaning that if I make a soft symlink to /workspace/service, it's not recognised, as well as any other paths with the code. only the ~/Library is on the list.
But it would be great to have the ability to work on several projects within 1 web interface
Plugins
"opencode-gemini-auth@latest"
OpenCode version

Steps to reproduce
start opencode serve
open in the browser
try to switch to another project
Screenshot and/or share link
$ ll ~/Library

the workaround gets overwritten when starting new.
given the amount of confusion around this issue of opening a project within the web ui I think it needs further investigation.
there are many open issues which are potential duplicates. it would be good if this could be solved as it is very confusing to see several folders (even hidden files) in my home dir available but none of the workspace folders.
I expect the following behavior: when I start opencode serve within a folder, this folder and all its children are becoming part of the scope and may be opened as projects. none of the parent folders become available.
currently, it seems to default to open the last session regardless from where I start opencode and I am not able to change the current project or open a new one.
EDIT: even when I open a new opencode session within another folder and use this session id for navigating to it in the web ui, the project folder remains the same.

These issues all relate to project/path selection and recognition in web mode. Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

one workaround that worked for me is to modify the
opencode.global.dat:serverkey in localStoragejkrauss82 commentedon Mar 2, 2026
