Codex usage limit without using it #12799

What platform is your computer?

What issue are you seeing?
On the 24th, I saw that I had over 50% usage left, but when I checked today, I saw that I had already used 100%. The last red bar is for the 24th, and I am 100% sure I haven't used it anywhere; even the graphs show no data for any other day.
What steps can reproduce the bug?

Are you sure that you didn't have any threads working in the background?
It's possible that your account has been compromised. You might want to change your password (or rotate your API key if you're using an API key).

thanks for the message @etraut-openai but pretty much sure , no background task there, and there is no api key i am using or generated also login is with social account of google , that is already protected, as well as if there a usage it should be in graph right ? but nothing there

I just experienced this issue this morning. My limit reset at 8am, but when I opened the codex app shortly after, my usage was already down to 90%. Not using cloud or other instances.

Same issue here. Drained 30% remaining usage without doing anything on March 24th.
Getting the message: "Your rate limit resets on 25 Mar 2026, 19:30. To continue using Codex, add credits or upgrade to Pro today."
