[Windows] Codex desktop app stuck on endless loading spinner after update #48832

What issue are you seeing?

After updating the Codex desktop app on Windows, the app no longer finishes loading.

When I launch Codex, the window opens, but it stays on a black screen with an endless loading spinner in the center. The main interface never appears.

The issue started immediately after the latest Codex desktop app update.

I have already tried restarting Windows, fully closing all Codex/ChatGPT processes, repairing the app, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and restarting again after reinstalling. The issue still persists.

Before the update, Codex was working normally on the same computer.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Update Codex desktop app to the latest version on Windows.
2. Launch Codex.
3. The application window opens.
4. A black screen appears with a loading spinner in the center.
5. The spinner continues indefinitely and the main Codex interface never loads.

The issue occurs every time I launch the app and is reproducible 100%.

What is the expected behavior?

Codex should load normally and display the main interface, including my existing projects and chats.
