I've switched to 5.1/58 just an hour ago and now Codex tells me that I've spent 50% of my weekly limit.
Also, I find it disturbing that Codex shows me Plus when I'm on Pro. I don't know if that's the case. Didn't have any limits problems before so didn't pay attention.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
What is the expected behavior?
Codex must show "Pro" subscription and my tokens spendings must be within the same rates I had yesterday.
If you log out and log back in, is the correct plan information then shown in the CLI? I suspect that we're showing stale plan information locally based on the plan you had when you initially logged in. That wouldn't affect usage accounting or limit enforcement, which is all done on the backend.
I've never logged in with a Plus account. It's shows the same in the Codex Web Usage dashboard. The usage graph does not show higher usage than earlier, but the limits go away much faster.

@willwang-openai I've logged out/in and now /status shows correct subscription—Pro. Could you reset weekly limit? It was spending with some unrealistic speed and now it's almost gone.
@iw2rmb Im actually not seeing any irregularities with your usage. You've called the responses API (once per model inference) 23k+ times last week. I would say thats within the expected range for a Pro user. I am continuing to investigate overcharge issues in general though.
@willwang-openai it's not that it's been inverted, I think it was just using more tokens than I'm used to. It might simply be that 5.1 was running faster than 5.

I have the same issue. Either the limits have had a sudden dramatic reduction or it's showing Plus limits.

Logging out/in doesn't change anything and https://chatgpt.com/codex/settings/usage shows the same usage.

@matssk please check the CLI usage bars as they have been inverted from what the previously were. It now shows usage remaining instead of usage used.

The "show plus instead of pro" bug is addressed by PR #7610. The fix will be in the next release (0.66).
