task(cluster): rank machines and name the first 3-5 nodes #1098
From the completed inventory (tasks 1.2-1.4), rank all machines by identical-ness, drive quality (990 Pro NVMe first), and condition; name the first 3-5 cluster nodes and their install order, with reasoning. Record the decision in the roadmap status record and link it from epic 1.
Acceptance: ordered first-node list published; every epic that consumes it (2, 4, 5, 6) linked.

state: reviewed (coverage loop-back)
Coverage pass 2026-11-03, loop-back review: this issue was re-reviewed (drift / overlap / already-handled / stale / blockers / ordering) so every open issue in the four repos is reviewed and in the system. Verdict: still live; in the system as task 2368 (triage, blocked, priority 30) in repo-health-code-pilot. Labels audited and synced. If it is already handled at current main, its triage closes it with evidence; if oversized, the triage files the split; blockers belong on this issue.

user/escalated+status/blocked— the underlying data must be gathered on site in the basement, andplanning/roadmaps/basement-cluster.mdat HEAD still lists hardware inventory / first-node selection (epic(cluster): hardware inventory & first-node selection #1080) as planned with no per-machine records committed. With no inventory data there is nothing to rank by identical-ness, drive quality, or condition, and no honest first-node list to publish.developing-today commentedon Nov 3, 2026
