Console/app-shell Sentry: a live DSN with sendDefaultPii: true is committed in apps/console/.env.production and baked into every production build — the VITE_SENTRY_ENABLED switch is build-time and absent from the inlined env, so a shipped bundle cannot be silenced #5522
Upstream mechanism half of objectstack-ai/cloud#1508 (priority:p0 / security there: an on-prem, air-gapped EE deployment's Console was measured sending 14 Sentry envelopes per session to sentry.io, including IP + User-Agent PII, with no way for the customer to turn it off). Filed by the triage seat; the cloud seat owns the image-side stop-the-bleed on #1508 — this card is the objectui-owned defect that made it possible.
Mechanism (measured on the shipped bundle)
apps/console/.env.production commits a real VITE_SENTRY_DSN (plus VITE_SENTRY_ENVIRONMENT=production, VITE_SENTRY_SEND_DEFAULT_PII=true), so every production build of the console — including builds destined for customer-premises images — inlines a live DSN as an object literal (seen verbatim in packages/console/dist/assets/*.js inside the EE image).
The kill switch in packages/app-shell/src/observability/sentry.ts reads VITE_SENTRY_ENABLED — also a build-time variable. It is not defined in .env.production, so it is absent from the inlined literal and reads undefined at runtime forever; env.VITE_SENTRY_ENABLED === 'false' can never become true after the build. Changing environment variables or .env on the deployed host does nothing.
sendDefaultPii: true means IP address and User-Agent are sent, per sentry.ts's own comment.
Why this is a defect here and not just a cloud packaging issue
The build system makes the telemetry endpoint and PII posture unconditionally part of the artifact. Any consumer that builds the console (cloud's EE/on-prem images, self-hosters building from source, the framework's console pin refresh) inherits an un-disableable third-party phone-home unless they know to strip a committed file. That is the wrong default direction for a switch whose failure mode is customer data leaving an air-gapped deployment.
Suggested direction (from cloud#1508)
Default off unless explicitly opted in at build (do not commit a live DSN in .env.production; inject it only in the SaaS build pipeline that wants it), and/or
make the gate runtime-configurable (e.g. via /api/v1/runtime/config, the way branding.stage works) so a deployment posture — composed / air-gap in particular — can hard-disable it; and
sendDefaultPii should not be true for artifacts that can land on-prem.
Exact seam is the dev's to determine; the invariant to restore is: a build that ships to a customer deployment must not carry an un-disableable third-party telemetry endpoint.
Verification
Repro on the cloud side: run deploy/composed.env.example (EE 4.1.0), log into the Console, filter the browser network panel on sentry. Green = zero third-party envelopes on a composed/air-gap posture, and a documented, working off-switch for other postures.
PM · Landing recorded, and the upstream fork now exists
PR #5559 MERGED 2026-08-21T11:35:19Z (head f751c0288, 5 files). The prior seat session (session_014zHsbJoTkTZeJQ5DLbRXrE) reviewed this card and went dark at 10:43Z, before the merge, so nothing recorded the landing.
Verified against the merged diff rather than the report: apps/console/.env.production no longer defines VITE_SENTRY_DSN / VITE_SENTRY_ENVIRONMENT / VITE_SENTRY_SEND_DEFAULT_PII; sendDefaultPii moved from opt-out (!== 'false') to opt-in (=== 'true') with every near-miss spelling pinned off; the decision was extracted to a pure resolveSentryGate that fails closed on absent/empty/whitespace/non-string DSN and on a missing env object; and committed-telemetry-endpoint.test.ts is a ratchet over all committed .env* files that also carries vacuum guards and a counter-probe, so it cannot pass by finding nothing.
⚠️objectstack#10741 never existed — the p0 remainder had no home
The prior seat's review ruled Q1 as "this card stays open, objectstack#10741 carries the remainder". There is no such issue.issue_read 404s on it while a control probe in the same repo succeeds (objectstack#10803), and issue_read is confirmed able to read PRs as well as issues, so "it is a PR number" does not explain it.
This mattered more than a bookkeeping slip: the remainder is the p0 security half — an opted-in build still has no post-build off switch — and it was pointed at a card that does not exist. It would have been dropped silently.
Worse, the merged code now says so in packages/app-shell/src/observability/sentry.ts:
⚠️ Known limitation … a telemetry key on that payload is an objectstack contract change, not objectui's to make. Filed upstream; see the issue for the fork.
That sentence shipped to main pointing at nothing.
Fork filed: objectstack-ai/objectstack#10805
Duplicate-checked first (keyword sweep of objectstack for Sentry / telemetry / runtime-config / DSN returned nothing). It carries the cloud#1508 measurement, the reason the seam has to be /api/v1/runtime/config, the fail-closed requirement, and the verbatim module comment that names the fork. Filed unassigned and ungraded so the triage seat produces its domain:* and grading — this seat does not produce routing labels.
State — deliberately not changed by this seat
This card carries assignee qq9340100, which is not this seat, and no Claim: comment identifies whose it is. Under "assignee is not you ⇒ claimed, never touch" I have not altered its labels or assignee, so it stays pm:dispatched. That is not the honest end state — with #5559 merged it should read pm:blocked with Blocked-by: objectstack-ai/objectstack#10805, the consumer half being "read the runtime telemetry key and gate initSentry on it".
Flagged in this round's report rather than resolved here. Whoever holds the claim, or the maintainer, should make that transition; a pm:dispatched card is at least not re-dispatchable in the meantime, so nothing will double-book it.
That is not the honest end state — with #5559 merged it should read pm:blocked with Blocked-by: objectstack-ai/objectstack#10805, the consumer half being "read the runtime telemetry key and gate initSentry on it".
Unlock scan (triage daily round, session session_01Kktexqp6uVuFMztvvTMf3V, 2026-08-24): released to pm:queue — blocker objectstack#10805 closed 2026-08-23T16:57Z. ⚠️ P0-family security (cloud#1508: air-gapped EE Console sends Sentry envelopes with PII off-box): ui seat, treat as front-of-lane. Re-verify on the merged ref which halves remain objectui-owned (the committed VITE_SENTRY_DSN in apps/console/.env.production and the no-opt-out default) — the upstream mechanism landing may have narrowed this card.

Clause-②: no — consuming a key the server already serves, and gating an existing init on it. No authoring contract's accept/reject behaviour moves and no published API surface widens.
Serial constraints cleared: packages/app-shell/src/observability/** — zero pm:dispatched cards held this lane at claim time, and git ls-remote shows no claude/issue-* branch for any open card in it. ⚠️ Concurrent sibling #3917 touches packages/types + content/docs/**, #5953packages/plugin-map, #3880packages/i18n/src/locales, #3794docs/adr — all disjoint by full path.
⛔ Read this before you read the card: the card's own title is now out of date
The objectui half of this card is already fixed and merged — PR #5559, 2026-08-21. The prior seat's note that this card's branch "carries real work, declare continue-or-replace" is wrong in the half that matters: the two commits on claude/issue-5522-sentry-disableable-telemetry (e94b85847, f751c0288) are PR #5559. That branch is spent. ⛔ Do not continue it, and ⛔ do not touch claude/issue-5522-runtime-telemetry-gate either — it resolves to an ordinary main commit and carries nothing. Start fresh from current main on the branch named above.
Verified by me on origin/main, not relayed:
apps/console/.env.production commits no DSN and now carries a long comment explaining why one must never be committed.
resolveSentryGate exists as a pure function (sentry.ts:91), fails closed on absent/empty/whitespace/non-string DSN and on a null env.
sendDefaultPii is opt-in (env?.VITE_SENTRY_SEND_DEFAULT_PII === 'true', sentry.ts:114).
committed-telemetry-endpoint.test.ts is the ratchet over committed .env* files.
Adjudication (not re-litigable): scope is the consumer half only
This is the remainder named verbatim in the merged module comment at sentry.ts:34-36:
⚠️ Known limitation, deliberately not worked around here: a build that DID opt in still has no post-build off switch, because the only server→SPA channel is /api/v1/runtime/config and a telemetry key on that payload is an objectstack contract change, not objectui's to make. Filed upstream; see the issue for the fork.
That upstream fork has landed. objectstack#10805 closed 2026-08-23T16:57Z via merged PR objectstack#11382, "cloud-connection: serve a fail-closed SPA telemetry permission on /api/v1/runtime/config". Triage released this card at 01:37Z with: "P0-family security … ui seat, treat as front-of-lane."
So the deliverable is: read that permission off the runtime config and gate initSentry on it, fail-closed. The invariant, unchanged from the card: a deployment posture must be able to hard-disable client telemetry on an already-built artifact, without rebuilding and without editing files inside a published SPA.
PM mechanism assumptions — measure these, and falsifying either is a good run
Pin lag is the live risk. I have verified that objectstack PR fix(app-shell): both page editors leave requires out of the body they save (objectui#11357) #11382 merged; I have not verified that the objectui pin resolves to a version whose types/payload carry the new key. Check this first. If the pin does not carry it, say so — do not invent the key's spelling from the upstream PR title, and do not bump the pin as a rider.
I have not located this repo's runtime-config reader.branding.stage is the precedent the card names for a server value reaching the SPA; find the actual seam rather than trusting that sentence.
Fail-closed direction, from the upstream card: a runtime that declines telemetry must beat a DSN injected at build time; absent key or failed fetch must read as do not send. If your measurement says the existing gate ordering makes that awkward, report the fork rather than picking a direction.
premise_still_valid: false with no PR is a legitimate delivery here and will be read as a good run, not a failure.
Standing constraints, unchanged
⛔ Do not invent or rotate a DSN. Rotating a committed credential is a maintainer action — name it in the report rather than improvising. ⛔ Deleting a value is not sufficient if a shipped bundle can still emit.
Run packages/app-shell tests path-filtered — the whole-package suite is ~784 s and holds the shared verify lock.

"summary": "Consumer half delivered. `runtime-config.ts` parses `telemetry.allowClientErrorReporting` off `/api/v1/runtime/config` and exposes `isClientErrorReportingAllowed()`; `resolveSentryGate` takes the permission as a REQUIRED second parameter and denies with a new `runtime-denied` reason, so the shipped decision is `buildTimeDsn AND runtimePermission` and either conjunct denies alone. PM assumption 1 FALSIFIED, and it changed the design: objectui has no dependency on `@objectstack/cloud-connection` (no package.json here names it; neither `@objectstack/spec` nor `@objectstack/client`, which are pinned at ^17.0.0, depends on or re-exports it), so no pin can carry or withhold the key — the payload shape reaches this repo only by being retyped, as `branding`/`features` already are. The risk is therefore mirror drift, not pin lag, so the reader is a declared line-for-line mirror of upstream `isClientErrorReportingAllowed` and is pinned in both directions. No pin was bumped. PM assumption 2 resolved: the reader is `packages/app-shell/src/runtime-config.ts` (not a `branding.stage` call site). PM assumption 3 resolved WITH a fence extension rather than a fork report — see open_questions[0]: `initSentry()` had exactly one call site repo-wide, `apps/console/src/main.tsx:24`, running at module-eval time BEFORE `initRuntimeConfig()` was even started; from there the fail-closed permission reads DENIED on every boot and memoizes it, which would have made the gate a permanent removal of telemetry rather than a switch. Moved it inside the existing `.finally()` that already awaits the config before first paint. Known bound, not a defect: `initSentry` memoizes its verdict, so a later re-fetch that withdraws the grant cannot un-initialize an already-started SDK; the console fetches once at boot. No DSN was invented or rotated. Issue body checked for sanitizer truncation: none found — the body is intact end-to-end, HTML entities are ordinary API escaping, and the only oddity is an authoring slip (`packages/console/dist/...` for what is `apps/console` in-tree), not eaten content.",

An earlier console type-check failed TS2307 on @object-ui/app-shell + five plugins; that was missing built dist, not this change — `pnpm --filter '@object-ui/console^...' build` (BUILD_EXIT=0) then made it green. Note this repo spells the script `type-check` with a hyphen. (3) A verbose run confirmed all 12 new tests execute BY NAME, so the pass is not a zero-match. (5) eslint on the 6 changed .ts/.tsx, `--format json`: 6 files processed, 0 errors, 8 warnings, all `no-explicit-any` matching the idiom already in these files; CI sets no --max-warnings by deliberate documented policy. Narrowing evidence: eslint.config.js enables NO type-aware linting (no projectService/parserOptions.project/TypeChecked preset) and none of the 8 custom rules in eslint-rules/ reads another file (zero matches for readFileSync/readdirSync/globSync), so every verdict is a pure function of one file's own source and this diff cannot move any untouched file. (6) TWO ABLATIONS, each with `trap '<restore>' EXIT INT TERM`. NO REBUILD WAS NEEDED and that is established, not assumed: both suites import the module under test by relative SOURCE path, not through a package `exports` field pointing at dist/ — and the ablations going RED is itself the proof, since a suite resolving a stale dist/ would have stayed green. Mutation confirmed ON DISK by grep counts of the removed AND injected text, never by the editor's exit code. Ablation A, delete the runtime conjunct from resolveSentryGate: predicted RED, observed RED — `Tests 3 failed | 17 passed (20)`; branch marker `reason: 'runtime-denied', dsn` counted 1 before, 0 after, git diff --numstat non-empty. Restore leg: marker back to 1 and `cmp: IDENTICAL to pre-ablation`. Ablation B, flip the mirrored reader `=== true` -> `!== false` (the classic fail-open dialect): predicted RED, observed RED — `Tests 2 failed | 24 passed (26)`; strict marker `allowClientErrorReporting === true;` counted 2 before and 1 after (2 not 1 because the accessor uses the same spelling — reported as measured), injected `!== false` marker 0 before and 1 after. Restore leg: `cmp: IDENTICAL to pre-ablation`, final counts strict=2 injected=0. (7) Control-byte self-scan `grep -naP '[\\x00-\\x08\\x0b\\x0c\\x0e-\\x1f\\x7f]'` over all 7 changed files: no output. Every heavy step ran through scripts/pm/os-verify-lock.sh (objectstack's copy; objectui has no scripts/pm/), longest hold 175s, longest wait 139s. Worktree removed without --force after the push.",

Reviewed against the diff, not against the report's self-description. This is the strongest delivery of the round and one finding in it prevented a silent security regression.

⚠️ The catch that matters: without it, this PR would have shipped a permanently-disabled gate
void initSentry() ran at module-eval time, before initRuntimeConfig() had even started. Since the new permission fails closed, from that position it would read DENIED on every boot and memoize the verdict — silently converting the switch this card asks for into a permanent removal of telemetry for every deployment, including the hosted console.
That is a "gate stuck shut" failure, and it is precisely the shape the existing counter-probe in sentry.test.ts was written to detect — a suite full of green absence assertions would have looked perfect. Finding it required reading the one call site rather than trusting that a gate composes wherever it is called.
The fix is one line moved into the existing .finally(), and the reasoning for .finally() over .then() is stated: it preserves the pre-existing guarantee that a failed config fetch never blocks boot, and on that path the permission is denied, so the failure direction is silence.
PM assumption 1 was falsified, and I had the risk model wrong
I wrote that "pin lag is the live risk" and told you to check whether objectui's pin resolves to a version carrying the key. There is no pin. No package.json here names @objectstack/cloud-connection, and neither @objectstack/spec nor @objectstack/client re-exports it — so no version bump can hand us the key and no pin lag can withhold it.
The real risk is mirror drift, which needs a different mitigation entirely, and you built the right one: grantsClientErrorReporting as a declared line-for-line mirror named at its definition, pinned in both directions by test. Measuring the dependency graph instead of answering the question I asked is what turned a wrong framing into the correct design.
Judgement calls I'm ratifying
Q1 — the fence extension to apps/console/src/main.tsx: option A, accepted. Option B is not a smaller delivery, it is a harmful one — it would merge a gate that is stuck shut. Option C was my escape hatch for an architectural fork, and this is not one: initSentry has exactly one call site repo-wide, the target block already awaits the config before first paint, and the static import set is byte-identical. Taking one load-bearing line and declaring it under its own heading is the correct handling of a fence that turned out to be drawn one file too small. The fence was mine and it was wrong; you did not silently widen it, you named it.
Q2 — Part of, not Fixes: option A, upheld. Your asymmetry argument is right. The objectui-owned invariant is restored, but the DSN committed before #5559 is still in git history and presumably still live, and wrongly auto-closing a p0-family security card whose credential is unrotated costs far more than one deliberate bookkeeping step.
At landing this card moves to pm:awaiting-maintainer (label verified to exist in this repo) — decision made, code landed, the only remaining actions are human ones outside GitHub. That is exactly what that state is for, and it is mutually exclusive with the queue states, so the card stops advertising work that does not exist.
Q3 — both operator actions go up in the round report, verbatim.
The design decisions worth recording
telemetry is its own namespace, not a features member — because a host's resolveFeatures hook merges arbitrary keys verbatim, so a distribution could otherwise grant a security permission from code whose subject is billing tiers. There is a test pinning exactly that (does NOT accept the permission from the open-ended features map). That is a threat-model observation neither the card nor the upstream issue made.
telemetry is replaced per payload, never merged like features/branding, so a grant cannot outlive the response that carried it.
The fail-closed direction is contrasted in-comment with isMarketplaceEnabled/isAiStudioEnabled, which fail open, with an explicit "do not make it consistent with them." An unreported error is recoverable; PII leaving an air-gapped deployment is not. Writing down why the neighbours differ is what stops a future tidying pass from re-opening this.
resolveSentryGate's permission parameter is required, not optional-defaulting-to-false. Both fail closed, but only a required parameter makes the compiler refuse a caller that never considered the question — and that caller is this card's entire defect class.
Every denial is paired with a counter-probe that must stay green, and the granting case is labelled as the counter-probe for the whole suite. Absence is the shape a broken test reproduces perfectly; this suite cannot pass by being stuck shut.
On the new exports (isClientErrorReportingAllowed, type RuntimeTelemetry from packages/app-shell/src/index.ts): I checked this against clause ② rather than letting it pass unremarked. It widens @object-ui/app-shell's TypeScript export surface, but not the authoring/contract face — no metadata author writes against it, no schema accept/reject moves. Under this seat's recorded distinction (clause ② trips on the surface, not the package; published ≠ contract face) it stays Clause-②: no. The export earns its place: it exists so no consumer writes its own optional-chain, and as the code comment says, one !== false dialect is all it takes to re-open this card.
Landing
Not governed. Gates get read by name, once, at ~11 minutes past this PR's own run started_at; enqueue requires every check green, not the required subset. ⚠️ Behaviour change to flag at merge: a build that already injects a DSN now also needs the runtime grant, or it goes quiet — deliberate, documented in the changeset and PR body, and the reason Q3's second action is not optional.
The invariant this card demanded is restored and machine-guarded: a build that ships to a customer deployment carries no telemetry endpoint (PR #5559 removed the committed DSN; committed-telemetry-endpoint.test.ts ratchets it), sendDefaultPii is strict opt-in, and reporting is double-gated fail-closed (build-time DSN AND the runtime permission from /api/v1/runtime/config, objectstack PR #11382 + PR #5982). Doing nothing is the safe state.
Rulings recorded with the close
The two operator follow-ups are deferred by ruling, not forgotten: rotating the pre-console/app-shell: stop shipping an un-disableable Sentry DSN, and make sendDefaultPii opt-in (#5522) #5559 DSN (still visible in public git history; write-only risk — junk events/quota, no data exposure) stays a five-minute hygiene action for whenever the maintainer touches the Sentry dashboard; the runtime grant is only needed the day telemetry is actually wanted. Near-zero users ⇒ zero pull ⇒ defer, reopen free.
The architecture gets a successor card: the maintainer ruled the source half belongs server-side — verbatim: 「我是一个开发平台呀,我的用户并不会去构建我的前端,我理解这种应该在服务端传进去」. Platform users consume a prebuilt console and can never set build-time keys, so today a self-hoster cannot enable reporting at all. objectstack#12681 replaces the build-time DSN + runtime boolean with a server-delivered DSN (presence = grant, fail-closed unchanged). The ratchet test outlives this card unchanged.
Docs correction for the current shape is in flight separately (#6599).

resolveSentryGate(env)),而不是放松断言。
import.meta.env那条真因。
packages/app-shell/src/observability/**+apps/console/.env.production+ changeset。
sendDefaultPii由 opt-out 改为 opt-in,并把全部近似拼写('TRUE'/'True'/'1'/'yes'/'on'/'')逐个钉死为不得启用。
Generated by Claude Code

PM · Landing recorded, and the upstream fork now exists
PR #5559 MERGED 2026-08-21T11:35:19Z (head

objectstack#10741carries the remainder". There is no such issue.issue_read404s on it while a control probe in the same repo succeeds (objectstack#10803), andissue_readis confirmed able to read PRs as well as issues, so "it is a PR number" does not explain it.This mattered more than a bookkeeping slip: the remainder is the p0 security half — an opted-in build still has no post-build off switch — and it was pointed at a card that does not exist. It would have been dropped silently.

{ "issue": 5522, "status": "done", "branch": "claude/issue-5522-runtime-telemetry-consumer", "pr": "https://github.com/objectstack-ai/objectui/pull/5982", "premise_still_valid": true, "summary": "Consumer half delivered. Issue body checked for sanitizer truncation: none found — the body is intact end-to-end, HTML entities are ordinary API escaping, and the only oddity is an authoring slip (`packages/console/dist/...` for what is `apps/console` in-tree), not eaten content.", "tests": "All verdicts quoted from the tool's own output line, captured before any pipe. (4) Gates: check:control-bytes `OK (scanned 4950 tracked text file(s))`, check:phantom-deps `Every in-scope import is declared`, check:self-import `No package names itself`, check:spec-symbols OK, check-changeset-presence `6 source file(s) of 2 released package(s) changed, and this change declares 1 changeset(s)`, check-changeset-no-major OK, check-changeset-fixed OK — all EXIT=0. check:eager-closure NOT run (needs apps/console/dist/eager-closure.json, a console SPA build artifact CI produces); narrowed WITH proof, not skipped: the static import set of main.tsx is byte-identical before/after (diff of the import lines is empty), only a call expression moved, so the closure has nothing to move. C was the dispatch's escape hatch for an AWKWARD ordering, and the ordering turned out not to be awkward: initSentry has exactly one call site repo-wide, the target block already awaits the config before first paint, and the static import set is byte-identical, so there is no architectural fork to escalate — only a one-line consequence of the fact that reading a server value requires waiting for the server." }, { "question": "Should the merged PR close #5522? ACCEPT — PR #5982 (R35,
domain:ui)Reviewed against the diff, not against the report's self-description. This is the strongest delivery of the round and one finding in it prevented a silent security regression.
Checklist: draft ✅ · base
main✅ ·Part of #5522✅ (ruled below) · 7 files ✅ · no DSN invented or rotated ✅ · no pin bumped ✅ ·packages/app-shellrun path-filtered, whole-package suite correctly skipped ✅ · two ablations, each predicted-RED/observed-RED with acmp-verified restore ✅.void initSentry()ran at module-eval time, beforeinitRuntimeConfig()had even started. Since the new permission fails closed, from that position it would read DENIED on every boot and memoize the verdict — silently converting the switch this card asks for into a permanent removal of telemetry for every deployment, including the hosted console. That is a "gate stuck shut" failure, and it is precisely the shape the existing counter-probe in
sentry.test.tswas written to detect — a suite full of green absence assertions would have looked perfect. Finding it required reading the one call site rather than trusting that a gate composes wherever it is called. The fix is one line moved into the existing
.finally(), and the reasoning for.finally()over.then()is stated: it preserves the pre-existing guarantee that a failed config fetch never blocks boot, and on that path the permission is denied, so the failure direction is silence.PM assumption 1 was falsified, and I had the risk model wrong
I wrote that "pin lag is the live risk" and told you to check whether objectui's pin resolves to a version carrying the key. There is no pin. No
package.jsonhere names@objectstack/cloud-connection, and neither@objectstack/specnor@objectstack/clientre-exports it — so no version bump can hand us the key and no pin lag can withhold it.The real risk is mirror drift, which needs a different mitigation entirely, and you built the right one:
grantsClientErrorReportingas a declared line-for-line mirror named at its definition, pinned in both directions by test. Measuring the dependency graph instead of answering the question I asked is what turned a wrong framing into the correct design.Judgement calls I'm ratifying
Q1 — the fence extension to
apps/console/src/main.tsx: option A, accepted. Option B is not a smaller delivery, it is a harmful one — it would merge a gate that is stuck shut. Option C was my escape hatch for an architectural fork, and this is not one:initSentryhas exactly one call site repo-wide, the target block already awaits the config before first paint, and the static import set is byte-identical. Taking one load-bearing line and declaring it under its own heading is the correct handling of a fence that turned out to be drawn one file too small. The fence was mine and it was wrong; you did not silently widen it, you named it.Q2 —
Part of, notFixes: option A, upheld. Your asymmetry argument is right. The objectui-owned invariant is restored, but the DSN committed before #5559 is still in git history and presumably still live, and wrongly auto-closing a p0-family security card whose credential is unrotated costs far more than one deliberate bookkeeping step.At landing this card moves to
pm:awaiting-maintainer(label verified to exist in this repo) — decision made, code landed, the only remaining actions are human ones outside GitHub. That is exactly what that state is for, and it is mutually exclusive with the queue states, so the card stops advertising work that does not exist.Q3 — both operator actions go up in the round report, verbatim.
The design decisions worth recording
telemetryis its own namespace, not afeaturesmember — because a host'sresolveFeatureshook merges arbitrary keys verbatim, so a distribution could otherwise grant a security permission from code whose subject is billing tiers. There is a test pinning exactly that (does NOT accept the permission from the open-ended features map). That is a threat-model observation neither the card nor the upstream issue made.telemetryis replaced per payload, never merged likefeatures/branding, so a grant cannot outlive the response that carried it.isMarketplaceEnabled/isAiStudioEnabled, which fail open, with an explicit "do not make it consistent with them." An unreported error is recoverable; PII leaving an air-gapped deployment is not. Writing down why the neighbours differ is what stops a future tidying pass from re-opening this.resolveSentryGate's permission parameter is required, not optional-defaulting-to-false. Both fail closed, but only a required parameter makes the compiler refuse a caller that never considered the question — and that caller is this card's entire defect class. On the new exports (
isClientErrorReportingAllowed, typeRuntimeTelemetryfrompackages/app-shell/src/index.ts): I checked this against clause ② rather than letting it pass unremarked. It widens@object-ui/app-shell's TypeScript export surface, but not the authoring/contract face — no metadata author writes against it, no schema accept/reject moves. Under this seat's recorded distinction (clause ② trips on the surface, not the package; published ≠ contract face) it staysClause-②: no. The export earns its place: it exists so no consumer writes its own optional-chain, and as the code comment says, one!== falsedialect is all it takes to re-open this card.Landing
Not governed. Gates get read by name, once, at ~11 minutes past this PR's own run⚠️ Behaviour change to flag at merge: a build that already injects a DSN now also needs the runtime grant, or it goes quiet — deliberate, documented in the changeset and PR body, and the reason Q3's second action is not optional.
